The Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA) is an NCAA Men's Division I Ice Hockey conference which operates primarily in the northeastern United States. It participates in the NCAA's Division I as an ice hockey-only conference. Unlike several other college athletic conferences, Atlantic Hockey has no women's division, though it shares some organizational and administrative roles with the women's-only College Hockey America (CHA).
Christopher The Cross Higgins is an American former professional ice hockey winger and current Skills and Development coach for the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL). While playing college hockey, he was selected 14th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the first round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He finished a two-year career with the Yale Bulldogs, earning ECAC Hockey Player of the Year honors as a sophomore, before turning professional for the 2003–04 season. After two seasons with the Canadiens' minor league affiliate, the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League (AHL), he joined the NHL in 2005–06. He recorded three consecutive 20-goal seasons to begin his NHL career before being traded to the New York Rangers in June 2009. After brief stints with the Rangers, Calgary Flames and Florida Panthers, he joined the Vancouver Canucks in February 2011. Internationally, Higgins has competed for the United States in two World Junior Championships and one World Championship (2009).
HV71, often referred to as just HV, is a Swedish professional ice hockey club based in Jönköping, playing in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), the first tier of Swedish ice hockey. The team played in the 2008–09 Champions Hockey League season, and also participates in the new Champions Hockey League tournament since the 2014–15 season. Between 2008 and 2013, HV also participated in the European Trophy tournament. With the exception of a one-year stint in the 2021–22 season in Sweden's second tier, HockeyAllsvenskan, where they won the promotion playoffs, the club has played continuously in the SHL since 1985.
Shea Michael Weber is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman under contract with the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL). He played sixteen seasons in the NHL for the Nashville Predators and Montreal Canadiens.
William Mitchell is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He is known primarily as a physical defensive defenceman. Mitchell played Junior A in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) and Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) before joining the college ranks with the Clarkson Knights of ECAC Hockey in 1997. He won an ECAC championship with Clarkson in 1999, while also earning playoff MVP and ECAC First Team All-Star honours.
Kevin M. Porter is an American former professional National Hockey League (NHL) center.
The West Coast Express was an ice hockey line that played for the National Hockey League's (NHL) Vancouver Canucks from 2002 to 2006. Named after Vancouver's commuter rail service, the line consisted of captain Markus Näslund at left-wing, Brendan Morrison at centre, and Todd Bertuzzi playing right-wing. The West Coast Express was a high scoring line that was considered to be one of the best lines in hockey during its tenure.
The Moncton Aigles Bleues women's ice hockey team represents the University of Moncton in U Sports women's ice hockey. The Aigles Bleues compete in the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) Conference in the U Sports athletic association. The program has won three conference championships and has made four national championship tournament appearances with their best finish occurring in 2009 with a bronze medal victory.

The Atlantic Hockey Coach of the Year is an annual award given out at the conclusion of the Atlantic Hockey regular season to the top coach in the conference as voted by the coaches of each Atlantic Hockey team.
The Atlantic Hockey Individual Sportsmanship Award is an annual award given out at the conclusion of the Atlantic Hockey regular season to the player best exemplifying the qualities of sportsmanship in the conference as voted by the coaches of each Atlantic Hockey team.
The Atlantic Hockey Most Valuable Player in Tournament is an annual award given out at the conclusion of the Atlantic Hockey conference tournament to the most valuable player in the championship as voted by the coaches of each Atlantic Hockey team. The recipient of the tournament MVP has come from the championship team each time it has been awarded. (as of 2013)
The Atlantic Hockey Goaltender of the Year is an annual award given out at the conclusion of the Atlantic Hockey regular season to the best goaltender in the conference as voted by the coaches of each Atlantic Hockey team. It was first awarded in 2024.
