Atlantis is the first album of Christian metal band, Besieged. [2] It is the band's only full-length release before the band went on hiatus.
Josh Murphy (aka JoshIVM) of Indie Vision Music writes:"The band has potential to put out better records and they got a lower score because of some of the vocal issues. It felt perfect at times and sometimes I couldn’t stand it. A better suited vocalist would have gained them a higher score. The other issue was the recording could have sounded better. I look forward to what this band can do down the road. Hopefully the acquire a new vocalist soon so we can find out." [2] The writer of Encyclopedia Metallum stated: "Besieged debute[ sic ] Atlantis is overall an average album that unfortunately could have been much better. Best songs Balkanization, A Cold Winter Kiss, Moustache Pete, They Shake The Earth, and the first five minutes of Atlantis. I recommend this debut album only to die-hard fans of metalcore and As I Lay Dying everyone else stay away." [1] E. Thomas of Teeth of the Divine reports:"Despite mixing the now Victory perfected mix of stern breakdowns, dual galloping European guitars, screams, impressive deep bellows, acoustic breaks and gang chants, Besieged manage to generally avoid the poppy, emo vocals (with the exception of “Moustache Pete”) or musical breaks that plague many of their peers. The song writing is what makes Atlantis standout from the similar looking pack, with some solid breakdowns (“Carved in the Walls”, “INRI”, “The Fall of Man: the Rise of Self”) very nice melodies and licks in tracks like “Balkanization”, “The Author”, “Guttersnipe”, “The Years Between”, “They Shake the Earth” and “Atlantis”, all kept a little more brutal by way of the impressive roars of vocalist Mattie, who could growl for the most brutal Death metal bands, and a stout production." [4]

Remove the Veil was a Christian metal band from Opelika, Alabama, founded in January 2005. They were most recently signed to Facedown Records. The band gets their name from 2 Corinthians 3:14.
Defeated Sanity is a German technical death metal band from Dachsbach, Bavaria that was conceived in 1993 by guitarist Wolfgang Teske and his son, drummer Lille Gruber. The group's lineup currently consists of Gruber (drums), Jacob Schmidt, Josh Welshman (vocals), and Vaughn Stoffey (guitar). The band is known for their very brutal, abrasive and intricate style of death metal, while at the same time maintaining almost jazz fusion style influences. Defeated Sanity's genre has also sometimes been categorized as progressive death metal.
Ekklesia is the debut album released by the American Christian metalcore band For Today. The album was released on April 1, 2008 through Facedown Records. A version of the album featuring their old lead singer has found its way onto the internet through the means of a blogspot page. The album includes 10 tracks with a range in different sounds from the metal genre as well as an instrumental track and intro. According to the liner notes, Matt Tyler, the band's former vocalist, is featured on "Redemption" and "A Higher Standard".
Matthew "Mattie" Montgomery is an American musician and the former lead vocalist and frontman of Christian metal band For Today from 2007. He released six albums and one EP with the band before they broke up in 2016. In addition to his work with For Today, Montgomery has his own solo gospel project named after himself in which he has released three albums and two books. He now pastors a church, The Altar Fellowship, in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Throes of Absolution is the debut album by Christian death metal band 7 Horns 7 Eyes. This is the only album to feature Ryan Wood, who left to join Project 86. In the early process of writing this album, original vocalist Kyle Wood quit the band to be married, but is still featured as a composer.
Hands was an American Christian metal band from Fargo, North Dakota, United States. The band started making music in 2007, with lead vocalist and guitarist Shane Ochsner, lead guitarist Ian Johnson, bass guitarist Chris Schwartz, and drummer Josh Silbernagel. Jerik Hendrickson became the band's lead guitarist in 2010, but he has since left the band, with Shane Ochsner taking over lead guitar duties. The band released one extended play, The Everlasting, independently in 2007. Their first studio album, The Sounds of Earth, was released by Oort Records in 2009. The band signed with Facedown Records, where they released Creator, a studio album, in 2009. The third studio album, Give Me Rest, was released in 2011, also on Facedown Records. The band reunited in 2017 for Facedown Fest 2017.
Call to Preserve was an American Christian and straight edge crossover thrash band who played a fusion hardcore punk and metalcore. They come from Rockledge, Florida. The band started making music in 2003, and disbanded in 2011. Their membership was vocalist, John Ellis, guitarists, Duke Ahrens, Matt Aviles, and Harbor Partin, bass guitarist, Kyle Bowen, and drummer, Mike Aviles. The band released one independently made extended play, Call to Preserve, in 2003. Their first studio album, Unsinkable, was released by Strike First Records, in 2006. The subsequent studio album, From Isolation, was released by Facedown Records, in 2008. They released, Life of Defiance, with Facedown Records, in 2010, and this was final studio album. Their last release, an extended play, Validation, was released by Facedown Records, in 2011, marking this as their final musical recording.
My Ransomed Soul was an American metalcore band from Maryland. Formed in 2007, the band's final lineup consisted of Brendan Frey (vocals), Garrison Frey (guitar), Hector Fernandez (guitar), Andrew Markle (Bass), and Fredy Menjivar (drums). The group released three full-length albums: The Chains That Bind Us (2012), Falsehoods (2013), and Trilateral (2015) as well as three EPs.
A Bullet for Pretty Boy was an American metalcore band from Longview, Texas. Formed in 2006, the band independently released the EP Beauty in the Eyes of the Beholder (2008) before signing to Razor & Tie and Artery Recordings, where they released the studio albums Revision:Revise (2010) and Symbiosis (2012). The group went on hiatus in 2015; vocalist Danon Saylor subsequently joined with members of For Today and Silent Planet to form the supergroup Nothing Left.
Bloodlined Calligraphy is an American metalcore band, infusing hardcore and thrash metal. Hailing from Ypsilanti, Michigan, the band started making music in 1996 under the name Friction. In 1999, the band changed its name to Bloodlined Calligraphy and the band's lineup consisted of Matt Carter (drums), Matt Fleming, Ryan Hampton (guitar), Eric Cargile, and Josh Colvin (guitar). The band signed to Selah Records and, in 2002, they released their first full-length album, Say Hi to the Bad Guy. In 2003, Matt Fleming decided to leave the band to focus on other things and the band conducted a nationwide search for their next vocalist, with Matt Fleming having a large say in who should replace him as the band's frontman. The band asked Michigan native Ally French, who was fronting a touring metalcore band in Ohio at the time, to audition. Ally had sung clean vocals alongside Matt Fleming for several of Bloodlined Calligraphy's live shows. The band appointed Ally as their vocalist and played their first live shows together in late 2003. During the band's second show with Ally at the front, the group caught the eyes and ears of Jason Dunn, owner of Los Angeles-based record labels Facedown Records and Strike First Records. The group became part of Strike First Records and released an EP in 2004 titled The Beginning of the End, which was recorded by Mike Hasty, guitarist of another female-fronted, Michigan-based hardcore band, Walls of Jericho. Shortly after the album's release, guitarist Josh Colvin was replaced by Shawn Williams. After months of touring to promote the EP, Jason Dunn signed the band to its primary label, Facedown Records. On April 26, 2005, the group released their second full-length album called, They Want You Silent, which helped catapult the group into the top tier of female-fronted rock bands and led to several successful tours with notable acts such as Kittie, The Acacia Strain, [[Caliban]], and more. In 2006, the group went back into the studio to record their fourth studio album, Ypsilanti, which was released by Facedown Records on September 19, 2006. Shortly after the album's release, the group's drummer/founding member Matt Carter stepped down after the loss of his father and was replaced by Joshua Badura. Tragically, the band lost another founding member when their bass player, Eric Cargile, unexpectedly passed away on April 20, 2010. The band officially disbanded in 2010 until the band played a show on April 19, 2014. In 2017, the band once again reunited to play at Facedown Fest 2017. The band has been active again since 2014 and has no plans of slowing down as the group prepares to be direct support for metalcore band, It Dies Today in 2024 and rumors of a new album circulating.
Behold the Kingdom was an American Christian metal and Christian hardcore band, and they primarily played deathcore, metalcore, and hardcore punk. They come from Sidney, Ohio. The band started making music in 2009, and their membership was lead vocalist, Josh Moon, lead guitarists, Riley Snyder and Derrik Young, bassist, Mark Baker, and drummer, Cliff Deweese. Their first studio album, The Eyes of the Wicked Will Fail, was released by Rottweiler Records, in 2011, which was the only album from the band, who disbanded in 2013.
Besieged is a Christian metal band from Saginaw and Bay City, Michigan. The band was formed by drummer Josh Schroeder, the only member in every line-up, who later became a producer and has recorded albums for Those Who Fear, A Plea for Purging, and The Burial. Former vocalist Mattie Montgomery left to join the band For Today in 2007. The band was supposed to do a Super Mario Bros. 3 cover for the game, but it is uncertain if that happened or not. The band played on the Blood and Ink Fest, along with, xLooking Forwardx, Burden of a Day, and Saints Never Surrender.
Virtue Has Few Friends was the only release by the deathcore band A Thousand Times Repent, due to losing their drummer and not finding a replacement. The song, "Curses! Another Shape-Shifting Wraith" features a clip from the flash cartoon, Ninjai.

Every Knee Shall Bow is an independent Christian metal band that consists of brothers guitarists Drew and Cole, bassist Shane, drummer DJ Wibblesman, and returning vocalist Chris Hull. The band's debut EP was mixed by Rocky Gray of Living Sacrifice, Evanescence, and Machina. The band was recommended in an interview with Gray and Jon Dunn of Soul Embraced about the local Arkansas metal scene. Their debut album was released on March 12, 2013. It was produced by Josh Barber.
Everdown is an American Christian metal band, from Manchester, New Hampshire, United States. The band formed in 1992, but disbanded in 1998. The band reunited in 2009, and released two new songs. The band has consisted of drummer Chris Wible, lead guitarist Nate Shumaker, rhythm guitarists John Helmig, "Greene", Dave Ball, and Rob Wolfe, bassists John Becht, Ryan Leech, Zach Wells, Chris Allain, Bryan Young, and Mark "Rug" Fields, and lead vocalist Erik "Adams" Bureau.
