Atlas Strategic was an indie rock band from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
The band was composed of Dan Boeckner on guitar and vocals; Johnny Pollard (aka Atlas Strategic) on organ, synthesizer, saxophone, and backing vocals; Steve Simard on drums; and Brooklyn Cannon on guitar and backing vocals. [1]
Their first album (the only official release), Rapture, Ye Minions!, [2] was released on Global Symphonic Records on February 14, 2001. While touring, the band recorded a second session and put out the 8-song tour EP, That's Familiar!, which was only distributed at shows. The band had another unofficial release called Here We Come [3] that included the songs from That's Familiar! and three more, including a new version of Bad Robots from Rapture, Ye Minions! [1]
After recording That's Familiar! and Here We Come, Brooklyn Cannon left the band. This caused Steve Simard to move from drums to guitar, and Jeffrey Allport was brought in as a replacement drummer. [1]
Scott Henderson of Sea Of Shit Studios recorded both albums. The band used much of his equipment, and he played a vital role in the sound and whole recording process. He also played with the band, playing guitar for many shows due to Dan's inability to play due to an injury.
Atlas Strategic later had plans to put out their next release, Ghetto Purchase, on a larger label. It was rumored that an album deal with Sub Pop Records was in the works, however the band broke up in 2002 before any deals were made. [1]
Dan Boeckner joined Wolf Parade. He was also in the duo The Handsome Furs with wife, Alexei Perry before forming Divine Fits and Operators. Brooklyn Cannon moved to Montreal and joined the band Total Bummer. Johnny Pollard played with Daddy's Hands, then moved to The Lords Of Discipline.[ citation needed ] Steve Simard moved to the Yukon.

The band formed in 1993 as a blackened death metal act under the name Amethyst, changing their name to Daemonum later on. By 1995 the band had adopted the name Hecate Enthroned and a symphonic black metal style.
Wolf Parade is a Canadian indie rock band formed in 2003 in Montreal. The band released three full-length albums before taking a five-year hiatus in 2011. They announced their return in 2016, releasing a self-titled EP in May of that year, and a fourth studio album, Cry Cry Cry, in October 2017. Their fifth studio album, Thin Mind, was released on January 24, 2020.
Sebastien Alexandre Grainger is a Canadian singer and musician, best known as drummer and singer of the alternative rock duo Death from Above and the singer and guitarist for his band Sebastien Grainger and The Mountains. He is part owner of Giant Studios in Toronto, Ontario with Jimmy Shaw of Metric.

Spencer Krug is a Canadian musician. He is the singer, songwriter and keyboardist for the indie rock band Wolf Parade and also records under the name Moonface. He has also performed with other Canadian bands including Sunset Rubdown, Swan Lake, Frog Eyes, Fifths of Seven, and ska band the Two Tonne Bowlers, playing various instruments. His involvement in many musical acts has garnered him a noticeably high output of work, being credited on several releases a year. He is known for his distinctive voice and songwriting abilities.

Dan Boeckner is a Canadian singer, songwriter, guitarist and podcaster. He is best known as one of the frontmen of Wolf Parade, which he helped found in 2003. Since 2013, he has also been a member of the Montreal-based band Operators. Boeckner began his career in the Victoria, Canada music scene, playing in multiple bands including Atlas Strategic. Since that time, he has been part of projects including Handsome Furs and Divine Fits with Spoon frontman Britt Daniel.
Handsome Furs was a Montreal-based indie rock duo which consisted of Dan Boeckner and Alexei Perry, who were married at the time. Boeckner is best known for his time in the bands Wolf Parade and Atlas Strategic. The band announced its breakup on May 17, 2012 via Facebook.

Symphonic Live is a video and live album by the English progressive rock band Yes, released on DVD and a single CD on 18 June 2002 by Eagle Vision and subsequently on two CDs and on Blu-ray by Eagle Records. The album documents the group's performance at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam on 22 November 2001 during their Yessymphonic Tour, supporting their nineteenth studio album Magnification, which also featured an orchestra. The tour featured Yes performing on stage with an orchestra; Symphonic Live features the European Festival Orchestra conducted by Wilheilm Keitel.
The Brat Attack was a Canadian political punk rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 2007, their biography (edited) was: "We are a political punk band that believes that we can contribute to creating social change and fighting injustice in singing about various issues that concern us, making the message the focal point, and expose people to our concerns and shit that makes us pissed off and frustrated...We are young and stupid, but believe that we should take this opportunity of singing in front of people to focus on important shit rather than the ho-hum drivel about relationships."

Daddy's Hands was a Canadian experimental rock band formed in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, by singer/guitarist Dave Wenger, bassist Emily Bauslaugh, drummer Jonah Fortune, and saxophonist Jonathan Pollard. Dave Wenger and Emily Bauslaugh had been involved in the British Columbian hardcore/emo scene before forming the band, being in bands M Blanket and Ache Hour Credo, and the band Floragore respectively. Daddy's Hands has released two demo tapes, one EP and two full-length albums. The band gigged extensively in the 90s, even playing a radio show with Nardwuar. Despite achieving little commercial success, the band has been referred to as highly influential in the West Coast music scene. Lead singer Wenger, highly regarded by some critics, has been referred to as Montreal's Peter Laughner.

Rapture is the fourth studio album by French metalcore band Betraying the Martyrs. It was released on 13 September 2019 through Sumerian Records and was produced by Henrik Udd. It is the band's first release with lead guitarist Steeves Hostin. It is the last album to feature the band's vocalist Aaron Matts before he left the band in April 2021. It is also their last album to be released on this label before the band signed to Out of Line Music in October 2021.
