Attia Bano Qamar (born in Pakistan) was crowned Miss Pakistan World runner-up in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 9 September 2011. Bano moved to Norway at the age of 1 and resided there ever since.

The contestants of the Miss Pakistan World pageant are Pakistani girls who reside all over the world, as well as the participation is opened for Pakistani girls from Pakistan, as well as dual nationality holders. Miss Pakistan World has been running since 2002 and has expanded to launching Mrs. Pakistan World as well as Mr. Pakistan World.

Miss Pakistan World 2011

Residing in Oslo, Norway, Bano took part in the 9th Miss Pakistan World pageant and was one of the final five contenders. [1] Bano also won the title of Miss Perfect Ten for having one of the best physique's in the pageant. In the end, Bano won Second Runner up title and got an opportunity to represent Pakistan internationally. [2]

Oslo is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Founded in the year 1040 as Ánslo, and established as a kaupstad or trading place in 1048 by Harald Hardrada, the city was elevated to a bishopric in 1070 and a capital under Haakon V of Norway around 1300. Attia Bano participated in the Queen of the World 2011 pageant held in Berlin, Germany in December 2011. [3] [4] Bano also participated in the Miss Globe 2011 pageant in Albania in October 2011. [5] [6]

Other works

Bano also did a few music videos for local Norwegian vocalists and participated in local reality television shows in Norway, called "Charterfeber" on Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. [7] [8] [9] This reality show was also shown in Sweden. A documentary was made on Attia Bano on a well known television station in Norway, Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation NRK. [10] In September 2012, Qamar was signed for various Punjabi music videos in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Charterfeber is a Norwegian docu-soap that debuted in March 2006.

Miss World 2011 beauty pageant edition

Miss World 2011, the 61st edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 6 November 2011 at the Earls Court Two in London, United Kingdom. As part of the events, the contestants also travelled to Edinburgh, Scotland between 23 and 27 October. Alexandria Mills of the United States crowned her successor Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela at the end of the event, she is the sixth Venezuelan women to win Miss World. Although over 120 delegates were expected to compete, problems regarding the timely acquisition of visas prevented several candidates from participating, thus reducing the final number to 113. Miss World 2011 was viewed by over 1 billion people worldwide.

Miss World 2015 beauty pageant edition

Miss World 2015, the 65th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 19 December 2015 at the outdoor arena of the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. 114 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Rolene Strauss of South Africa crowned her successor Mireia Lalaguna of Spain at the end of the event. It was the very first time in the history of Miss World that Spain won the pageant.

Binibining Pilipinas 2015

Binibining Pilipinas 2015, the 52nd edition of Binibining Pilipinas, was held on March 15, 2015 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines. At the end of the pageant Mary Jean Lastimosa crowned Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach as Miss Universe Philippines 2015 while Bianca Guidotti crowned Janicel Jaranilla Lubina as Binibining Pilipinas International 2015. The pageant also awarded three other titles to participate in minor international beauty pageants in which Kris Tiffany Janson crowned Christi Lynn Landrito McGarry as Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2015, Yvethe Marie Santiago crowned Rogelie Ardosa Catacutan as Binibining Pilipinas Supranataional 2015, and Parul Shah crowned Ann Lorraine Maniego Colis as Binibining Pilipinas Tourism 2015. The first runner-up was Hannah Ruth Lulu Sison, 26, a multi-media artist/professor from Oas, Albay, while Kimverlyn Ofalsa Suiza, 26, a TV segment producer from Marikina City, was named second runner-up.

Diya Ali is a Pakistani model and actress from Lahore Punjab, Pakistan. She was the winner of Miss Pakistan 2017/2018 selected by Miss Pakistan World organization in 2017. Ali was the first girl selected from the soil of Pakistan to represent Pakistan internationally in three international pageants.
