Audrey Kwon (born June 16, 2006) is a Korean-American synchronised swimmer.

Early life

Kwon moved to the United States when she was two years old. She began artistic swimming when she was eight. [3]

Career

In July 2023 at the World Championships in Fukuoka, Kwon was part of the American team that won silver in the team acrobatic routine and bronze in the team technical routine. [4] [5] In November 2023 at the Pan American Games in Santiago, she was part of the American team that took silver in the team event. [6] In February 2024 at the World Championships in Doha, Kwon was part of the American team that won bronze in the acrobatic team routine and team free routine. [7] [8] Kwon was part of the swim team that won silver during the 2024 Summer Olympics. [9]

Synchronized swimming, also known as artistic swimming, is a sport where swimmers perform a synchronized choreographed routine, accompanied by music. The sport is governed internationally by World Aquatics. Emma Jennifer McKeon, is a retired Australian competitive swimmer. She is an eight-time world record holder, three current and five former, in relays. Her total career haul of 14 Olympic medals following the 2024 Olympic Games made her the most decorated Australian, the third-most decorated swimmer, and the seventh-most decorated athlete in Olympic history and included one gold medal from the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, four gold medals from the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo and one gold medal from the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. With four gold and three bronze medals she was the most decorated athlete across all sports at the 2020 Summer Olympics, and tied for the most medals won by a woman in a single Olympic Games. She also won 20 medals, including five gold medals, at the World Aquatics Championships; and a record 20 medals, including 14 gold, at the Commonwealth Games.

Evangelia Platanioti is a Greek artistic swimmer. She competed in the women's duet at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She also competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the women's duet where her partner was Evangelia Papazoglou. They finished in 10th place.

Kaylee Rochelle McKeown is an Australian swimmer and quintuple Olympic gold medalist. She is the reigning Olympic champion in the 100 and 200 metres backstroke. She is the world record holder in the long course 50 metre backstroke, the short course 100 metre backstroke and both the long course and short course 200 metre backstroke. She won gold in both the 100 metre and 200 metre backstroke at both the 2020 and 2024 Olympics. In 2023, she was named as the "Best Female Swimmer of the Year" by World Aquatics, after sweeping gold in all three events of backstroke at all three World Cup legs, held in Berlin, Athens and Budapest in October, 2023.

Qin Haiyang is a Chinese swimmer who specializes in the breaststroke and individual medley. He holds the world record in the 200m breaststroke, which he set at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships. At the same competition, Qin became the first swimmer in history to win all three breaststroke events at a single edition of the championships. Qin was also the former world junior record holder in the 200m breaststroke and 200m individual medley. In 2023, Qin became the first Asian swimmer to be named as the Male Swimmer of the Year by World Aquatics.

Kate Elizabeth Shortman is a British synchronised swimmer who won a silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the duet. She competed in the women's duet event at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan. She also represented Great Britain at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary and at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships in Gwangju, South Korea. She also competed at the 2022 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary. She trains at the City of Bristol Swimming Club.

Isabelle Thorpe is a British synchronised swimmer who won a silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the duet. She competed in the women's duet event at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan. She also represented Great Britain at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary and at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships in Gwangju, South Korea. She also competed at the 2022 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary. She trains at the City of Bristol Swimming Club.

Mollie Grace O'Callaghan is an Australian swimmer and the reigning Olympic champion in the 200 m freestyle. She was the 2023 world champion in the women's 100m and 200m freestyle individual events, and part of the world champion 4 × 100 m and 4 × 200 m Australian women's relay teams together with 4 × 100 m mixed relay team. She previously held the world record in the women's individual 200m freestyle.

Meg Harris, is an Australian swimmer. She is a world record holder in the 4×100 metre freestyle relay. She competed in the 2020 Summer Olympics, where she won a gold medal in the 4×100 metre freestyle relay and a bronze medal in the 4×200 metre freestyle relay and also in the 2024 Summer Olympics, having won a gold medal in the 4×100 metre freestyle relay. Harris also won an individual silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the 50 m freestyle. She is also the co-founder of the clothing brand Dally&Co Label.

Shelly Bobritsky is an Israeli Olympic swimmer who competes in Artistic swimming. She competed in the 2020 Olympics in duet, was the European Champion in the free combination event in 2023, and was a three-time European medalist as well as a two-time European Cup bronze medalist. Bobritsky represented Israel at the 2024 Paris Olympics in artistic swimming women's duet with Ariel Nassee, and the pair came in 11th.
