Austin O'Connor (born May 14, 1998) is an American folkstyle wrestler from Lockport, Illinois. [1] During his collegiate career, O'Connor was a two-time NCAA Wrestling Champion for the University of North Carolina. He won his first NCAA Title in 2021 in the 149lb weight class. [2] Two years later in 2023, he followed up with another NCAA title at 157lbs. [3] In total during his collegiate career, O'Connor was a five-time All-American, three-time conference champion and two-time national champion.
O'Connor was a four-time wrestling state champion in the state of Illinois for St. Rita of Cascia High School located in Ashburn, Chicago.
O'Connor finished his collegiate career as a five-time All-American, three-time ACC Champion, and two-time National Champion for The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a wrestler.
O'Connor has signed a management deal with American Kickboxing Academy. Other notable wrestlers that are part of AKA include Daniel Cormier, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and B.J. Penn. [4]

The Central Oklahoma Bronchos, are the intercollegiate athletic teams representing University of Central Oklahoma, located in Edmond, Oklahoma. The five men's and nine women's varsity teams are called the "Bronchos". The school's identification as Bronchos dates back to 1922, when the wife of football coach Charles W. Wantland suggested it for the school's mascot. The official colors of the teams are bronze and blue, which the institution adopted in 1895. Bo Dean Nickal is an American professional mixed martial artist, former freestyle and graduated folkstyle wrestler who currently competes in the UFC middleweight division. In freestyle wrestling, he claimed the 2019 U23 World Championship and the US Open national championship, and was a finalist at the 2020 US Olympic Team Trials and a Final X contestant in 2019. As a collegiate wrestler, Nickal was a three-time NCAA Division I national champion and a three-time Big Ten Conference champion out of Pennsylvania State University.
