The Australian Cricketers' Association (ACA) is an organisation that represents the professional first-class cricketers of Australia, both past and present. [1] It is not a formally registered Trade Union, but an Incorporated Association.
Shane Watson is the current president of the ACA. The chair is Greg Dyer, and the remaining members of the Board of Directors are Alyssa Healy, Clea Smith, Kristen Beams, Aaron Finch, Moises Henriques, Lisa Sthalekar, Janet Torney and Pat Cummins. [2]
In 2022, ACA expressed their displeasure towards Cricket Australia (CA) due to the understanding or deal between Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and CA by which the former will pay 10% from the Australian players' IPL salary to CA. Paul Marsh, chief executive of ACA said that their players would oppose this decision by not signing CA, IPL contracts. [3]
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the principal national governing body of cricket in India. Its headquarters is situated at the Cricket Centre in Churchgate, Mumbai. The BCCI is the wealthiest governing body of cricket in the world. The BCCI is involved in talent development through grassroots programs and cricket academies. Its initiatives include infrastructure development, coaching, and player welfare programs designed to maintain and enhance India's competitive performance internationally.
Cricket Australia (CA), formerly known as the Australian Cricket Board (ACB), is the governing body for professional and amateur cricket in Australia. It was originally formed in 1905 as the 'Australian Board of Control for International Cricket'. It is incorporated as an Australian Public Company, limited by guarantee.
The Andhra cricket team is an Indian domestic cricket team representing the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The team's main home ground is ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium at Visakhapatnam, while some home matches are also played at Anantapur and Kadapa. C. K. Nayudu was the first captain of the team.
Aaron James Finch is an Australian cricket commentator and former international cricketer who served as the captain of the Australian cricket team in ODI and T20I cricket. Finch currently holds the record for two of the three highest individual scores in Twenty20 Internationals (T20I), his score of 172 against Zimbabwe in July 2018 beating his previous record of 156 against England in 2013. Finch was a part of the Australian team that won the 2015 Cricket World Cup, and six years later as Australia's captain, Finch also led Australia to win the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, which was the maiden T20 World Cup title for the country. In July 2018, he became the first player to reach 900 rating points on the official International Cricket Council (ICC) T20I rankings. He made his Test debut for Australia in October 2018. He is also a part time commentator with Fox Cricket and Triple M. Finch has played domestically for Victoria and Melbourne Renegades. He is an opening batter, and occasional left arm orthodox spinner.
David Andrew Warner is an Australian former international cricketer and a former Test vice-captain. A left-handed opening batsman, Warner was the first Australian cricketer in 132 years to be selected for the national team in any format without experience in first-class cricket. He plays for New South Wales and Sydney Thunder in domestic cricket. Warner was a prominent member of the victorious Australian squad of the 2015 Cricket World Cup, the 2021 T20 World Cup, where he was the Player of the Tournament, the 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship, and the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup.
The Indian Premier League (IPL), also known as the TATA IPL for sponsorship reasons, is a men's Twenty20 (T20) cricket league held annually in India. Founded by the BCCI (the Board of Control for Cricket in India) in 2007, the league features ten state or city-based franchise teams. Most popular and biggest cricket league, it usually takes place during the summer for 2 months, between March and May each year. It has an exclusive window in the ICC Future Tours Programme, resulting in fewer international cricket tours occurring during the IPL seasons.

Marcus Peter Stoinis is an Australian cricketer who plays limited overs cricket for the Australian national team. He is contracted to Western Australia and Melbourne Stars domestically, and has previously also played for Perth Scorchers and Victoria as an all rounder. Stoinis was a member of the Australian team that won the 2021 T20 World Cup and 2023 Cricket World Cup.
Mitchell Ross "Mitch" Marsh is an Australian international cricketer. Marsh represents Australia in all three forms of cricket, making his debut during the 2011–12 season. Marsh is the Australian T20I captain, ODI vice-captain and also served as Test vice-captain after the 2018 Australian ball-tampering scandal. With his national side, he won multiple ICC tournaments: the 2015 Cricket World Cup, the 2023 Cricket World Cup and the 2021 T20 World Cup.
Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) is the governing body of cricket in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The association is affiliated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and governs the Andhra cricket team. The association was founded in 1953 and has been affiliated to the BCCI ever since. The ACA operates the ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, which hosts International-level Test, ODI and T20 cricket matches. The headquarters of the association is at Visakhapatnam. C. K. Nayudu, the first captain of Indian cricket team, was instrumental in the formation of Andhra Cricket Association and was its founder president. Nayudu was also the first captain of Andhra cricket team.
Patrick James Cummins is an Australian international cricketer who captains the Australia men's national cricket team in Test and One Day International cricket. He is also the current captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2024 Indian Premier League. Cummins is widely regarded as an all-time great fast bowler in Test cricket and one of the finest fast bowlers of his generation. He is also known for being a handy lower-order batsman. Cummins was a member of the Australian team that won the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, and was the winning captain of the 2021–23 ICC World Test Championship and the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup.
James Peter Faulkner is an Australian former international cricketer who played for the Australian cricket team from 2013 to 2017 and currently in domestic cricket for Tasmania. An all-rounder, Faulkner is known for his aggressive batting in the middle order, and for his bowling at the end of limited-overs innings.
Sean Anthony Abbott is an Australian professional cricketer originally from Windsor in New South Wales who has represented his country internationally in white ball cricket. Jason Paul Behrendorff is an Australian cricketer, currently listed with Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers in Australian domestic cricket. He plays for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League and Major League Cricket.
Andrew James Tye is an Australian cricketer who plays One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for the Australian national cricket team. At the domestic level he plays for Western Australia and Perth Scorchers. He is most famous for his use of the knuckle ball and wide variation of pace.

The Women's Big Bash League is the Australian women's domestic Twenty20 cricket competition. The WBBL replaced the Australian Women's Twenty20 Cup, which ran from the 2007–08 season through to 2014–15. The competition features eight city-based franchises, branded identically to the men's Big Bash League (BBL). Teams are made up of current and former Australian national team members, the country's best young talent, and up to three overseas marquee players.
Jhye Avon Richardson is an Australian cricketer. He made his debut in domestic cricket in October 2015, and made his international debut for the Australia national cricket team in February 2017.
Timothy Hays David is a Singaporean and Australian cricketer. He played for the Singapore national cricket team between 2019 and 2020, before switching allegiance to Australia in 2022. He was part of the Australian team's squad for the 2022 T20 World Cup. He has played for various Twenty20 franchise teams. He made his international debut for Singapore in July 2019 and played 14 T20Is making his debut for Australia in 2022 against India.
The 2018 Australian ball-tampering scandal, also known as Sandpapergate, was a cricket cheating scandal surrounding the Australian national cricket team. In March 2018, during the third Test match against South Africa at Newlands in Cape Town, Cameron Bancroft was caught by television cameras trying to rough up one side of the ball with sandpaper to make it swing in flight. Captain Steve Smith and vice-captain David Warner were found to be involved and all three received unprecedented sanctions from Cricket Australia. Although he was found not to have been directly involved, Australia's coach, Darren Lehmann, announced he would step down from his role following the scandal. Smith was replaced by Tim Paine as captain in all formats before Aaron Finch took over from Paine in ODIs and T20Is.
