Australian Survivor is an Australian adventure reality game show based on the international Survivor format. Following the premise of other versions of the Survivor format, the show features a group of contestants, referred to as "castaways" as they are marooned in an isolated location. The castaways must provide food, water, fire, and shelter for themselves. The contestants compete in various challenges for rewards and immunity from elimination. The contestants are progressively eliminated from the game as they are voted off the island by their fellow castaways. The final castaway remaining is awarded the title of "Sole Survivor" and the grand prize of A$500,000.
The Farmer Wants a Wife is an Australian reality television series based on the British reality show Farmer Wants a Wife. Doctor Doctor is an Australian television drama created by Tony McNamara, Ian Collie and Alan Harris, which premiered on the Nine Network on 14 September 2016, lasting five seasons, concluding on 23 June 2021. Australian Ninja Warrior is a sports entertainment competition spin-off of the Japanese television series Sasuke which premiered on 9 July 2017 on the Nine Network. It features hundreds of competitors attempting to complete series of obstacle courses of increasing difficulty, in hopes of advancing to the finals and becoming the season's "Australian Ninja Warrior."
Hughesy, We Have a Problem was an Australian comedy panel television series which premiered on Network 10 on 30 January 2018. The program was hosted by Dave Hughes, who along with a panel of comedians, attempted to solve problems of viewers, guests, panellists or the host. The show was filmed at Network 10 Studios in Pyrmont, a suburb in Sydney's inner city.
Playing for Keeps is an Australian drama television series, which began airing on Network 10 on 19 September 2018. The series was created from a concept by the network's head of drama Rick Maier. It centres on the wives and girlfriends of the players at the fictional Southern Jets Football Club. Pooch Perfect is a dog grooming reality competition television program created by Seven Studios UK and first broadcast on the Seven Network in Australia. The program is hosted by Rebel Wilson, and began airing on 27 February 2020. The series features ten professional dog stylists competing in a series of themed challenges which sees the transformation of beloved pets, with a judging panel including international styling experts Amber Lewin and Colin Taylor determining the winner of $100,000 in prize money. The title is a play-on-words of the film Pitch Perfect, in which Wilson starred.
Ultimate Tag was a short-lived Australian sports entertainment obstacle course competition based on the American series of the same name which premiered on Seven on 7 March 2021. Following the premise of the original version, the format was based on the game of tag and involved contestants running through various indoor obstacle courses while professional taggers attempt to catch them. Abbey Gelmi and Matt Shirvington hosted the series, with Bill Woods as commentator.
New Gold Mountain is an Australian drama miniseries which premiered on 13 October 2021 on SBS. The four-part miniseries is a Goalpost Television production which was created by Peter Cox, directed by Corrie Chen and executive produced by Kylie du Fresne.
SAS Australia: Who Dares Wins, also known as SAS Australia, is a reality quasi-military training television programme based on the original British SAS: Who Dares Wins that is broadcast on Seven Network since 19 October 2020. Upon release of the first season, the show's name was changed to simply SAS Australia. The series features four ex-Special Forces soldiers acting as the directing staff (DS), with Ant Middleton as the chief instructor.
Fires is a six-part Australian television drama series on ABC TV which first screened on 26 September 2021, set against the background of the 2019–20 Australian bushfire season.
Australia's Got Talent is an Australian reality television show, based on the original UK series, to find new talent. Seven Network announced that the show would be returning to their network in 2020 for its tenth season, however due to numerous COVID-19 restrictions, it had been pushed back until 2022. It had previously aired on Seven for six seasons from 2007 to 2012, and on the Nine Network for two seasons in 2013 and 2016, before returning to Seven in 2019. The judging panel consists of Shane Jacobson, Kate Ritchie, and Britain’s Got Talent judges David Walliams and Alesha Dixon. Ricki-Lee Coulter returned as host.
