Austvorren Ridge ( 73°6′S1°35′W / 73.100°S 1.583°W / -73.100; -1.583 Coordinates: 73°6′S1°35′W / 73.100°S 1.583°W / -73.100; -1.583 ) is the eastern of two rock ridges which trend northward from the Neumayer Cliffs in Queen Maud Land. It was photographed from the air by the Third German Antarctic Expedition (1938–39), and mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952), led by John Schjelderup Giæver and from air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59) and given the name "Austvorren" (the "east jetty"). Neumayer Cliffs is a series of abrupt rock cliffs forming the northeast end of Kirwan Escarpment in Queen Maud Land. Discovered by the German Antarctic Expedition under Alfred Ritscher, 1938–39, and named for German geophysicist Georg von Neumayer. Surveyed by the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE), 1949-52.

Queen Maud Land Norways territorial claim in Antarctica

Queen Maud Land is a c. 2.7 million square kilometre (1.04 million sq mi) region of Antarctica claimed as a dependent territory by Norway. The territory lies between 20° west and 45° east, between the claimed British Antarctic Territory to the west and the similarly claimed Australian Antarctic Territory to the east. On most maps there had been an unclaimed area between Queen Maud Land's borders of 1939 and the South Pole until 12 June 2015 when Norway formally annexed that area. Positioned in East Antarctica, the territory comprises about one-fifth of the total area of Antarctica. The claim is named after the Norwegian queen Maud of Wales (1869–1938).

The Scott Mountains are a large number of isolated peaks lying south of Amundsen Bay in Enderby Land of East Antarctica, Antarctica. It was photographed from the air by the Third German Antarctic Expedition (1938–39). It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952), led by John Schjelderup Giæver, and from air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59) and named "Isfossnipa".

Istind Peak is a partly ice-covered peak 1.5 km (1 mi) south of Tindeklypa, on the east side of Ahlmann Ridge in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. It was photographed from the air by the Third German Antarctic Expedition (1938–39). It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952), led by John Schjelderup Giæver, and from air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59) and named "Istind".

Jutulstraumen Glacier is a large glacier in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica, about 120 nautical miles (220 km) long, draining northward to the Fimbul Ice Shelf between the Kirwan Escarpment, Borg Massif and Ahlmann Ridge on the west and the Sverdrup Mountains on the east. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–52) and air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59) and named Jutulstraumen. More specifically jutulen are troll-like figures from Norwegian folk tales. The ice stream reaches speeds of around 4 metres per day near the coast where it is heavily crevassed.

Belgen Valley is a broad, ice-filled valley between Enden Point and Heksegryta Peaks in the Kirwan Escarpment, Queen Maud Land. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and from air photos by the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–52) and from additional air photos (1958–59), and named "Belgen".

Bystrov Rock is a prominent rock lying 1 nautical mile (2 km) south-southeast of Isdalsegga Ridge in the Südliche Petermann Range of the Wohlthat Mountains. It was mapped from air photos and surveys by the Sixth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956–60; remapped by the Soviet Antarctic Expedition, 1960–61, and named after Soviet paleontologist A.P. Bystrov.

Utrista Rock is an isolated rock lying 10 nautical miles (18 km) northeast of Mount Dallmann, at the northeast extremity of the Orvin Mountains in Queen Maud Land. Discovered and photographed by the German Antarctic Expedition 1938-39. Mapped by Norway from air photos and surveys by Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956–60, and named Utrista.

Vorrtind Peak is a peak at the north end of Austvorren Ridge, just north of Neumayer Cliffs in Queen Maud Land. Photographed from the air by the German Antarctic Expedition (1938–39). The Jutulpløgsla Crevasses form a crevasse field halfway up Jutulstraumen Glacier, about 8 nautical miles (15 km) southeast of Nashornet Mountain, in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. They were mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–52) and from air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59) and named Jutulpløgsla.

Delta Peak is a very sharp peak marking a pronounced corner point on Ackerman Ridge, 6 nautical miles (11 km) northeast of Mount Gjertsen, in the La Gorce Mountains. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960–64, and was so named by the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition, 1969–70, because as seen from the south the colorful rock strata present a well visible form that is suggestive of the Greek letter Delta.

Tverregg Glacier is a glacier between Heksegryta Peaks and Tverregga Spur in the Kirwan Escarpment, Queen Maud Land. Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE) (1949–52) and additional air photos (1958–59), and named Tverreggbreen.

Trollkjelpiggen Peak is a peak 5 nautical miles (9 km) southwest of Utkikken Hill, on the east side of Ahlmann Ridge in Queen Maud Land. Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE) (1949–52) and air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59) and named Trollkjelpiggen.

Gluvreklett Glacier is a glacier flowing northwest between Von Essen Mountain and Terningskarvet Mountain in the Gjelsvik Mountains of Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. It was photographed from the air by the Third German Antarctic Expedition (1938–39). It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–52) and the Norwegian expedition (1958–59) and named Gluvreklettbreen.

Hei Glacier is a glacier flowing northwest between the Hamrane Heights and the Robin Heights in the Sverdrup Mountains of Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. It was photographed from the air by the Third German Antarctic Expedition (1938–39). It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–52) and from air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59) and named Heibreen.

Snøkjerringa Hill is a hill 3 nautical miles (5.6 km) naunorth-northwest of Snøkallen Hill, on the east side of Ahlmann Ridge in Queen Maud Land. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–52) and named Snøkjerringa.

Høgsaetet Mountain is a 2,717-metre (8,914 ft) tall mountain just northeast of Raudberget in the Borg Massif of Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–52) and named Høgsætet.

Vestvorren Ridge is the western of two rock ridges which trend northward from the Neumayer Cliffs in Queen Maud Land. It was photographed from the air by the German Antarctic Expedition (1938–39). It was then mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE) (1949–52) and air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59) and named Vestvorren, meaning "the west jetty."

The Liljequist Heights are the heights about 2 nautical miles (4 km) south of the Grunehogna Peaks, in the Ahlmann Ridge of Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. They were mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE) (1949–52) and air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59). The heights are named for Gösta Hjalmar Liljequist, a Swedish meteorologist with the NBSAE.
