Avatika is an uninhabited island near Avatoru in the Tuamotus Islands in French Polynesia (Oceania). [1] The neighbouring islands are Motu Mahuta and Motu Teavahia and together they form part of the Rangiroa atoll.

Bora Bora is an island group in the Leeward Islands. The Leeward Islands comprise the western part of the Society Islands of French Polynesia, which is an overseas collectivity of the French Republic in the Pacific Ocean. Bora Bora has a total land area of 30.55 km2 (12 sq mi). The main island, located about 230 kilometres northwest of Papeete, is surrounded by a lagoon and a barrier reef. In the center of the island are the remnants of an extinct volcano, rising to two peaks, Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu; the highest point is at 727 metres. Bora Bora is part of the Commune of Bora-Bora, which also includes the atoll of Tūpai. The languages spoken in Bora Bora are Tahitian and French. However, due to the high tourism population, many natives of Bora Bora have learned to speak English.

Fakaofo

Fakaofo, formerly known as Bowditch Island, is a South Pacific Ocean atoll located in the Tokelau Group. The actual land area is only about 3 km2, consisting of islets on a coral reef surrounding a central lagoon of some 45 km2. According to the 2006 census 483 people officially live on Fakaofo. Of those present 70% belong to the Congregational Church and 22% to the Catholic Church.

Motu Nui is the largest of three islets just south of Easter Island and is the most westerly place in Chile and all of South America. All three islets have seabirds, but Motu Nui was also an essential location for the Tangata manu cult which was the island religion between the moai era and the Christian era. Motu Nui is the summit of a large volcanic mountain which rises over 2,000 meters from the sea bed. It measures 3.9 hectares in land area and is the largest of the five satellite islets of Easter island.

A total solar eclipse occurred on May 30, 1965. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby totally or partly obscuring the image of the Sun for a viewer on Earth. A total solar eclipse occurs when the Moon's apparent diameter is larger than the Sun's, blocking all direct sunlight, turning day into darkness. Totality occurs in a narrow path across Earth's surface, with the partial solar eclipse visible over a surrounding region thousands of kilometres wide. Totality was visible from northwestern Northland Region in New Zealand on May 31st (Monday), and Manuae in Cook Islands, Manuae and Motu One in French Polynesia, and Peru on May 30th (Sunday).

Motu Manawa (Pollen Island) Marine Reserve

Motu Manawa-Pollen Island Marine Reserve is a 501 hectares (1.93 sq mi) protected area in the Waitemata Harbour in Auckland, New Zealand, established in 1995. It includes the entire area between Rosebank Peninsula and Waterview, and surrounds Pollen and Traherne Islands. Its northeastern boundary runs roughly parallel to Rosebank Peninsula, from the mouth of the Oakley Creek estuary. Its northernmost boundary is north of Pollen Island, at the same latitude as the tip of Point Chevalier. Its westernmost point is in the mouth of the Whau River, between the tip of Rosebank Peninsula and Te Atatū.

Motu Patlu is an Indian animated sitcom television series written by Niraj Vikram for Nickelodeon India. The series is produced by Cosmos-Maya Studios. It is adapted from the classic comic strip Lotpot. It premiered on 16 October 2012. It focuses on two friends, Motu and Patlu, living in a fictional town called Furfuri Nagar, however later in the series they live in another fictional city known as Modern City. Nowadays Motu Patlu and their friends are touring Europe.

Mōtū is a rural community in the Gisborne District of New Zealand's North Island. It is located north of Matawai and State Highway 2. The community is centred around Mōtū River and Mōtū Falls.
