Avhiroop Mazzumdar, born Abhiroop Dutta Mazumdar is an Indian television and film director who was associated with popular television shows like Fear Files, Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai, Tashn-E-Ishq, Miley Jab Hum Tum, Sangam, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasturi, and many others popular Indian TV soaps. He has also directed Delhi Diary, a documentary on 100 years of New Delhi which was released by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. He has made several other documentaries and films, including Astitva, Sabr, Sambhav. Sabr won Best Jury and Best Non-Fiction Award at the National Film and Video Festival (Student Edition). He also received La Fémis Scholarship, Paris in 2007. Avhiroop's short film, Cognition was felicitated at BYOFF and Inscreen (Orissa). [1]

Jalsaghar is a 1958 Indian Bengali drama film written and directed by Satyajit Ray, based on a popular short story by Bengali writer Tarasankar Bandyopadhyay, and starring Chhabi Biswas. The fourth of Ray's feature films, it was filmed at Nimtita Raajbari, in Nimtita village, 10 kilometres from Murshidabad. Despite initial poor critical reception in India, Jalsaghar went on to win the Presidential Award for best film in New Delhi, and played a significant role in establishing Ray's international reputation as a director. Adoor Gopalakrishnan is an Indian film director, script writer, and producer. and is regarded as one of the most notable filmmakers in India. With the release of his first feature film Swayamvaram (1972), Adoor pioneered the new wave in Malayalam cinema during the 1970s. In a career spanning over five decades, Adoor has made only 12 feature films to date. His films are made in the Malayalam language and often depict the society and culture of his native state Kerala.
