Awaking was a Taiwanese pop music duo, formed by Jay Shih and Wesley Chia. [1] [2] They released their self-titled debut album in 2004, and the first single from the album, "Dream", became a modest hit in Taiwan. The song was subsequently covered by Vivian Hsu on her album The Secret to Happiness Is Love .
In 2006, the pair was nominated for Best Vocal Collaboration at the 17th Golden Melody Awards for the album Happiness Download. [3]

Jolin Tsai is a Taiwanese singer, songwriter, and actress. Referred to as the "Queen of C-Pop", she is considered one of the most influential people in Chinese-language popular culture. She is known for her continual reinvention and versatility in music style and visual image, and she has achieved great reputation and popularity in Chinese-speaking world. She is also regarded as a huge role of popularizing dance-pop as mainstream music in Greater China, and she remains completely in charge of every aspect of her career. Her works, which incorporate social themes, have generated both commercial success and critical acclaim.
J-Game is the seventh studio album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on 25 April 2005, by Sony BMG Taiwan. Brimming with hip-hop, oldschool and disco music, the album is filled with astounding tunes in different styles. The album was proved to be such a hit with audiences that it sold 1 million copies in just over a month. It has finally sold more than 2 million copies in Asia, with more than 260,000 copies in Taiwan alone, and became the best-selling album by a female artist of the year in Taiwan. The fourth track, "Sky", reached number 2 on the Hit FM Top 100 Singles of the Year. The title track, "J-Game", which is an up-tempo and playful song that listeners will get addicted to, reached number 26 on the chart. The album earned Tsai an MTV Asia Award nomination for Favorite Artist Taiwan.
Castle is the sixth studio album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on 27 February 2004, by Sony Music Taiwan. Following the success of her last studio album, Magic (2003), Tsai continued to secure her A-list status with the new release. Tsai again rang up huge sales with the album, which further increased her popularity in her native Taiwan as well as in other Asian countries. The album has sold more than 2 million copies in Asia, with more than 300,000 copies sold in Taiwan alone, and became the best-selling album by a female artist of the year in Taiwan. The second track, "It's Love", reached number 8 on the Hit FM Top 100 Singles of the Year. The opening track, "36 Tricks of Love", reached number 78 on the chart. The album earned Tsai an MTV Asia Award nomination for Favorite Artist Taiwan. The music video of the lead single, "Pirates", earned Tsai an MTV Video Music Award Japan nomination for Best Buzz Asia.
Myself is the eleventh studio album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on 13 August 2010, by Warner Music Taiwan. Andrew Chen, Adia, and Paula Ma handled its production with a variety of collaborators including Danielle Senior, Scott Wild, Gabriel Ssezibwa, Rene Prang, Lars Quang, Nik Quang, Jonas Saeed, and Pia Sjöberg. The album is based on the concept of party, and it was Tsai's most participated album to date.
1019 is the debut studio album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on 10 September 1999, by Universal Music Taiwan. Tsai emerged champion at an MTV singing competition at the age of 18, and it kickstarted her singing career and paved the way to her journey in becoming a teen idol. Don't Stop is the second studio album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on 26 April 2000, by Universal Music Taiwan. After the release of her debut album, 1019 (1999), Tsai's record label wanted to solidify her future in the music industry, by building on the success of the first album. Tsai erased any fears of a sophomore slump with the production of her second studio album. The album contains several hit singles that dominated the Asian charts for the better part of the year, and Tsai achieved general recognition in the whole Greater China Region. The album has sold more than 450,000 copies in Taiwan alone, made Tsai the sixth best-selling singer of the year in Taiwan, and became her best-selling album in Taiwan of her career to this date. The title track, "Don't Stop", reached number 17 on the Hit FM Top 100 Singles of the Year.
Show Your Love is the third studio album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on 22 December 2000, by Universal Music Taiwan. Tsai surprised many listeners with the album, which positioned her as a more mature and seductive songstress. However, not everyone liked the change of pace and the album fared poorly. The sales of the album were not as good as her previous two studio albums, with only more than 260,000 copies sold in Taiwan alone, and made her the eleventh best-selling singer of the year in Taiwan. The third track, "Do You Still Love Me", reached number 30 on the Hit FM Top 100 Singles of the Year. The music video of the seventh track, "Fall in Love with a Street", won an MTV Video Music Award for International Viewer's Choice. Tsai also increased her exposure to other Asian countries with the release of the album, and made her first live performance in Japan in March 2001.
Lucky Number is the fourth studio album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on 7 July 2001, by Universal Music Taiwan. Tsai tinkered again with her style for the album, but the downturn in her fortune continued from her last album, Show Your Love (2000). In June 2001, Tsai recorded the Mandarin version of "Where the Dream Takes You", the theme song of the 2001 Disney science fiction film, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, and it was included on the pre-order edition of the album. Just after the released of the album, Tsai's music career came to a halt due to the conflict with her management company of the time, D Sound. The album did not manage to bring Tsai back to the previous popularity she enjoyed, with only more than 150,000 copies sold in Taiwan alone, and made her the nineteenth best-selling singer of the year in Taiwan. The fourth track, "If You Don't Want", reached number 94 on the Hit FM Top 100 Singles of the Year.
Magic is the fifth studio album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on 7 March 2003, by Sony Music Taiwan. Tsai managed to sign with Sony in February 2002, and got one of her biggest successes in her music career. A reinvention in her music and image gave Tsai what she needed to make a comeback to the music scene after being gone for almost a year. The highly anticipated album sold more than 1.5 million copies in Asia, with more than 360,000 copies sold in Taiwan alone, and became the best-selling album by a female artist of the year in Taiwan. The opening track, "Say Love You", reached number 3 on the Hit FM Top 100 Singles of the Year. The title track, "Magic", reached number 24 on the chart. The fifth track, "Prague Square", reached number 65 on the chart. The album instantly restored Tsai's reputation, earned her two Golden Melody Award nominations for Best Mandarin Female Singer and Best Pop Vocal Album, and earned her an MTV Asia Award nomination for Favorite Artist Taiwan.
Muse is the twelfth studio album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on September 14, 2012, by Warner Music Taiwan. Tsai collaborated with various producers on the record, including Michael Lin, Peggy Hsu, JJ Lin, and Tanya Chua. The artistically-flavored album houses tracks influenced by the elements of art, poetry, and dance.
Play is the thirteenth studio album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on November 15, 2014, by Warner Music Taiwan. Dancing Forever is the third remix album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on 29 September 2006, by Capitol Music Taiwan. The album was in support of her second concert tour, Dancing Forever World Tour, and contains remixes of tracks from her studio album, Dancing Diva (2006), and seven new tracks. It also contains a video that chronicles Tsai's Pulchritude Concert at Kaohsiung Cultural Center in Kaohsiung, Taiwan on 1 July 2006. The fifth track, "Marry Me Today", which is a duet with Taiwanese singer David Tao, won a Golden Melody Award for Song of the Year and reached number 1 on the Hit FM Top 100 Singles of the Year. The title track, "Dancing Forever", reached number 46 on the chart.
J9 is the second remix album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on 12 November 2004, by Sony Music Taiwan. The album was in support of her debut concert tour, J1 World Tour, and contains remixes of tracks from her studio albums—Magic (2003) and Castle (2004)—and two new tracks, "Signature Gesture" and "Singleness". The opening track, "Signature Gesture", reached number 61 on the Hit FM Top 100 Singles of the Year.
Myself World Tour is the sixth live album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on 19 October 2013, by Warner Music Taiwan. Tsai embarked on the Myself World Tour for promotion of her eleventh studio album Myself (2010). The album was recorded at Taipei Arena during the Taipei dates of the tour on December 22–23, 2012. Tsai's pervious record labels Universal, Sony, and Capitol authorized an array of copyrighted tracks being included on the album, and it was the most completed live album of her career to this date.
Reality Show? is Taiwanese Mandopop artist Show Lo's eleventh Mandarin studio album. It was released on 20 November 2015 by EMI Taiwan. On 18 December 2015, the SHOW Plus edition was released, featuring two new tracks.
The Golden Melody Award for Album of the Year is presented by the Ministry of Culture of Taiwan to honor quality vocal or instrumental recording albums in the pop music genre. The honor was first presented in the 2nd Golden Melody Awards. The award was discontinued in 2005 and was separated into Best Mandarin Album, Best Taiwanese Album, Best Hakka Album, and Best Aboriginal Album. In 2017, the award was revived, and albums in different languages are eligible for this award, although the awards for Best Mandarin Album, Best Taiwanese Album, Best Hakka Album, and Best Aboriginal Album are remained.
Lee Lee-zen is a Taiwanese actor, television host and singer. He began his career in 1996 as a singer, and went on to make his acting debut in the television series Chrysalis (1999). Since then, he has starred in television series such as The Unforgettable Memory, I Shall Succeed, Hero Daddy and Once Upon a Time in Beitou. Lee is also noted for his role in the period drama series Home, for which he won a Golden Bell Award in 2013.
