Ahmad Awaluddin "Awal" bin Ashaari (born 6 August 1981) is a Malaysian actor, model and TV host.
Awal Ashaari was born in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. [1] He holds a diploma from Universiti Teknologi MARA in mass communications. [2]
He then went on to work at Leo Burnett advertising, where its executive creative director Yasmin Ahmad is also a filmmaker, as an account executive, but felt he did not belong there. He then went on to become a newsreader for 8TV's Twenty Hundred News for eight months in 2003. It was also at that time was the first season of Malaysian Idol competition and Awal managed to reach the final 30 cut-off. Later in 2004, FCUK had a model search competition and he was selected. [1]
Besides modelling and fashion spreads, Awal hosts Beat TV on Astro Ria. He has also been involved in numerous Malay dramas such as Impak Maksima, Noktah Erna and Cinta Medik. Previously, he was the host of One in a Million , a Malaysian reality singing competition show. He was also the host for a reality TV show on Astro Ria, Mari Menari season 1 with Lisa Surihani.
Awal married actress Scha Alyahya on 4 May 2012. Lara Alana is his first child with Scha. His second child, another daughter, was born on 12 February 2021 and bestowed the name Lyla Amina. [3]

Akademi Fantasia is Malaysia's first reality television show in which a number of contestants called students compete for the winning title and a chance to start their career in the entertainment industry. The first season premiered on 3 June 2003 and was one of Astro Ria's highest rated shows. The theme song entitled "Menuju Puncak" was performed by Juwita Suwito, who is the sister of the composer, Aubrey Suwito.
One in a Million is a Malaysian reality-competition show. It is the first reality singing competition to offer a RM 1 million prize to the winner. The show began airing on 8TV, a terrestrial television station in Malaysia, on 26 May 2006.

Raja Lawak Astro is a Malaysian TV reality show that searches for comedic talent. It started broadcasting in early 2007. Every week contestants perform a joke according to the theme set on stage. Ahmad Nabil Ahmad, also known as Nabil Ahmad, Nabil Raja Lawak, and simply Nabil is a Malaysian entertainer, comedian and actor. He worked as a motorcycle courier before winning the 2008 season of comedy competition Raja Lawak. Nabil has since won an award for hosting multiple television programs, beginning with MeleTOP in 2012, which he still hosts. He further expanded his roles by becoming a producer in 2017, and a film writer and director in 2018.
