Awki Sunqu (Quechua awki prince; a mythical figure of the Andean culture; grandfather, sunqu heart, [2] [3] "the prince's (Awki's or grandfather's) heart", Hispanicized spelling Auquisonco) is a mountain in the Cordillera Central in the Andes of Peru which reaches an altitude of approximately 5,050 m (16,570 ft). It is located in the Lima Region, Yauyos Province, in the districts of Huantan and Tupe. It lies west of the lakes named Wich'iqucha and Quylluqucha, south of Chuntani. [4]

The Cordillera Central is part of the Andes in Peru. It extends in a northerly direction approximately between 11º 39’ and 12º 37’S and 75º 30’ and 76º 20’W for about 60 km to 100 km. It contains the Paryaqaqa (P), Yauyos (Y) and Pichqa Waqra (PW) mountain ranges. It is located in the Junín Region and in the Lima Region.

Challwaqucha is a lake in Peru located in the Lima Region, Yauyos Province, on the border of the districts of Colonia and Tupe. It lies southeast of the mountain and the lake named Wankarqucha. The Challwamayu originates south of the lake. Its waters flow to the Cañete River.
