Ayanda Thabethe (born 17 March 1986) [2] , is a South African actress, entrepreneur, television presenter and model.
She attended Sacred Heart High School. Thabethe graduated with a BCOM in Communication Management from the University of Pretoria in 2007 and later earned an honours degree in Marketing from the University of South Africa in 2011. [1]

In 2016 she made her screen acting debut as Aliyah in the fourth season of the Mzansi Magic drama series, Rockville. Later that year she landed her biggest television host role as an anchor host on BET Africa’s first magazine and lifestyle show, BET A-list. [5] [6] [7] [8]

Top Billing is a South African lifestyle television programme that airs on SABC3 on Saturday evenings from 18:00–19:00 and repeats on Sundays at 12:00. It was founded by Basetsana Kumalo and Patience Stevens, who own the Tswelopele Production company. The show is the longest-running lifestyle programme in South Africa, broadcasting since 1996. In addition to a variety of presenters, there is a voice-over guide throughout the programme. A magazine of the same name was launched in March 2004, containing similar content to the show.
She has had roles in movies and Television soapies such as Zion, Generations: The Legacy as Gugu and featured as a pregnant teen in Tooth and Nails. [10]
Generations: The Legacy is a South African soap opera created and produced by Mfundi Vundla. It is a remake of the previous season's Generations with more and different characters, like an anthology. In 2019, she was chosen as a host on E! Africa for their much acclaimed show, Celebrity Game Night. [11]

Since joining the modeling industry, she has been featured in different fashion spreads and magazine covers. She has also appeared as the lead actress in several television advertisements. In 2016, she was the face of the summer range by Legit Fashion. She is the current spokesperson for international brands such as Unilever, Pond's and ForeverNew South Africa. [15]
