Aysha Naushad Khan [1] (born 4 Sep 1999, Kerala, India) is a United Arab Emirates woman cricketer who played internationals at a young age. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] She was born in Kerala, India. She made her debut in UAE Women's Team on 5 October 2010 against Bhutan at Singapore. She is a Right-handed batsman and bowls right-arm medium-fast. She has represented UAE in both Women's and Under-19. [3]
Kerala is a state on the southwestern, Malabar Coast of India. It was formed on 1 November 1956, following passage of the States Reorganisation Act, by combining Malayalam-speaking regions. Spread over 38,863 km2 (15,005 sq mi), Kerala is the twenty second largest Indian state by area. It is bordered by Karnataka to the north and northeast, Tamil Nadu to the east and south, and the Lakshadweep Sea and Arabian Sea to the west. With 33,387,677 inhabitants as per the 2011 Census, Kerala is the thirteenth-largest Indian state by population. It is divided into 14 districts with the capital being Thiruvananthapuram. The United Arab Emirates, sometimes simply called the Emirates, is a country in Western Asia at the southeast end of the Arabian Peninsula on the Persian Gulf, bordering Oman to the east and Saudi Arabia to the south, as well as sharing maritime borders with Qatar to the west and Iran to the north. The sovereign constitutional monarchy is a federation of seven emirates consisting of Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain. Their boundaries are complex, with numerous enclaves within the various emirates. Each emirate is governed by a ruler; together, they jointly form the Federal Supreme Council. One of the rulers serves as the President of the United Arab Emirates. In 2013, the UAE's population was 9.2 million, of which 1.4 million are Emirati citizens and 7.8 million are expatriates.
Aysha Naushad, second child of Naushad Khan and Mallika Naushad, was born into The Kavanavallil Family in Kollam, Kerala but was brought up in UAE where her father works as a General Manager in RPCL. [3] She studies in Indian High School, Ras Al Khaimah. She started playing cricket with her brother Akhil Naushad who has represented first class cricket and a badminton national player. She started representing the UAE Women's Cricket team when she was 11 years old.
Naushad Khan became a member of the United Arab Emirates women's national cricket team as a Medium-Fast bowler in 2010. Playing Cricket as hobby, she made her first debut against Bhutan at Singapore in 2010. Being just 11 years old, she was recognized for her performance in the Practice sessions held at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. As the Youngest of the Players of that time, she made herself into the top list among consistent players and caught the eyes of the selectors. While in Singapore representing UAE, she was consistent in the field marking her first debut in International Cricket. Being a specialized bowler, she also contributed her batting skills that added up the total strength of the team. [9] She represents UAE in both the Under-19 and women's category. On 24 June 2011 Sharjah Cricket Council honoured its top performers and teams during the season 2010 and 2011 through a colourful award ceremony held at the Ramada Hotel in Ajman, where she was given a special award for her outstanding performance in 2010 and 2011. Aysha played in the Gulf Women's T20 Cricket Championship, 2014 representing the United Arab Emirates Cricket Team as a main bowler. UAE clinched the inaugural Gulf Women's T20 Cricket Championship at the Al Emarat ground in Muscat, Oman. UAE beat Kuwait by 49 runs in the Final, after scoring 122 for 6 [11] . [12] Aysha bagged 13 wickets giving 65 runs. She also scored 71 runs throughout the tournament. [13]
Aysha represented the UAE Women's Cricket Team for the second time in the Gulf Women's T20 Cricket Championship, 2015 held in Qatar as the opening bowler to the team. The UAE team successfully defended their title in the T20 competition after beating hosts Qatar by five wickets in Doha. Aysha accounted for three opening wickets in her three overs leaking four runs in the final match. She bagged a total of 14 wickets giving away 60 runs in the tournament and also contributed 64 runs from bats. [14] UAE remained unbeaten in the tournament with five straight wins. [11] [15]

Its member states are Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The Charter of the Gulf Cooperation Council was signed on 25 May 1981, formally establishing the institution.

Brown represented the Scottish national team as an all-rounder at One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International level, having earlier played One Day International cricket for England in 1997 and 1998. He played English county cricket for Warwickshire.

The Gulf Ice Hockey Championship, also known as the GCC Gulf Ice Hockey Championships, is an international ice hockey competition involving countries from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The inaugural tournament took place on the May 25 to May 30 in Kuwait City, Kuwait and was organised by the Kuwait Ice Hockey Association. The championship has featured teams six different countries since its formation and currently consists of Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. The United Arab Emirates has won all four editions of the championship, while Kuwait has finished second on three occasions and Qatar on one.
The Afghanistan national cricket team played a single One Day International (ODI) cricket match against the Pakistan national cricket team on 10 February 2012. The match took place at a time when Pakistan were due to play England in a follow-up ODI series in the UAE after defeating them 3-0 in a Test series.
Usman Khan Shinwari is professional Pakistani cricketer. He is a left-arm fast bowler who plays for the Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd cricket team (ZTBL) in Pakistan's first-class cricket circuit. He has also previously played for the Khan Research Laboratories cricket team (KRL). In December 2013, he bowled ZTBL to victory in the national T20 final with impressive figures of 5 wickets for 9 runs in four overs. He was subsequently picked for the national side in the T20 series against Sri Lanka in the UAE.

The Papua New Guinea national cricket team toured the United Arab Emirates in March and April 2017 to play three One Day Internationals (ODIs), three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and a first-class match. Two of the three ODI matches were part of the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship and the first-class match was part of the 2015–17 ICC Intercontinental Cup tournament. Before the international fixtures, Papua New Guinea played warm-up matches against the English sides Middlesex County Cricket Club and Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
The Australian cricket team toured the United Arab Emirates from September to October 2018 to play two Tests and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against Pakistan. Ahead of the Test series, there was a four-day practice match in Dubai.
