The election is conducted to elect the government in Bihar for a five-year term. The votes were scheduled to be counted on 24 November.

Amarjeet Kushwaha is an Indian activist,lawyer and politician. He was elected as member of Bihar legislative assembly in 2020 from 106th Ziradei constituency. He is a leader in the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation. He was the national president of the Revolutionary Youth Association in India. In 2020 he defeated his near rival Kamla Devi from Ziradei seat with a margin of more than 25000 votes.

Mohammad Nehaluddin is a Rashtriya Janta Dal senior leader and Bihar Legislative Assembly Member from Rafiganj Assembly Constituency. He won in 2020 Bihar Assembly Election on RJD ticket. He is a three-term MLA from the Rafiganj constituency. He defeated Independent candidate by 11 thousand votes and two term incumbent JD(U) MLA Asok Kumar Singh came a distant third.
