Samras Samaj Party (SSP) is a former political party in Bihar. SSP was a splinter faction of Janata Dal (United) (JDU). The leader of SSP is Nagmani.

In September 2015, the leaders of six parties Samajwadi Party, Nationalist Congress Party, Jan Adhikar Party, Samras Samaj Party, National People's Party and Samajwadi Janata Dal Democratic announced the formation of a third front known as the Socialist Secular Morcha. [1] On 15 October, NCP leader Tariq Anwar announced that his party had decided to leave the third front. [2] [3] Socialist Secular Morcha - announced its seat distribution: SP got 85 seats, Janadhikar Party got 64 seats, NCP got 40 seats, SSP got 28 seats, SJDD got 23 seats and NPP got three seats.

In 2017, Nagmanai joined Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Samta Party by merging his party and calling Kushwaha to be next Chief Minister of Bihar. Nagmanai was named National Executive President of Rashtriya Lok Samta Party. [4] [5] [6] [7]

He has also served as Minister of State for Human Resources and Development in the Government of India. Kushwaha is a former Member of Parliament (MP) from the Karakat constituency in Rohtas district, Bihar, and a former member of the Rajya Sabha. He was the leader of Rashtriya Samata Party (RSP), his own party, which merged into Janata Dal (United) (JDU) in 2009. Later, he formed Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP), which also merged with JD(U) in 2021. On 20 February 2023, Kushwaha resigned from all positions in Janata Dal (United) and formed his own party called Rashtriya Lok Morcha due to his political problems with JD(U) and Nitish Kumar. Kushwaha contested the Lok Sabha election of 2024 from Karakat constituency and finished at a distant third position. However, he was elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha in August 2024.

The party's ideology is based on the ideals of Karpoori Thakur. The foundation of the party was preceded by a two day conference organised by Upendra Kushwaha in Patna, in which he invoked the participation of all the members of Mahatama Phule Samata Parishad, a socio-political organisation and his trusted aides in Janata Dal (United). In the backdrop of this conference the foundation of the party was announced.

Suchitra Sinha is an Indian politician and a former member of Bihar Legislative Assembly from Kurtha Assembly constituency. Sinha was elected to Bihar Legislative Assembly in 2005 on the symbol of Lok Janshakti Party. In the re-election conducted same year, she was again elected, but this time on the symbol of Janata Dal (United). She has also served as a minister in Government of Bihar. Sinha belongs to a political family of Bihar. Her father, Satish Prasad Singh was a former Chief Minister of Bihar and her father-in-law Jagdeo Prasad was a former Deputy Chief Minister for a short term in Satish Prasad Singh ministry. Sinha was the Minister for Food and Consumer Conservation in Nitish Kumar government from 2005 to 2008.
