Samajwadi Janata Dal (Democratic) was a political party in India. Devendra Prasad Yadav is the leader of the party. The election symbol of the party is an air conditioner. [7] On 24 March 2022, SJD(D) merged with Rashtriya Janata Dal. [8] [9] [10]

History

Party was founded by Devendra Prasad Yadav in year 2010. Party was a member of Grand Democratic Secular Front formed with All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen leader Asaduddin Owaisi. [11]

Devendra Prasad Yadav was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Jhanjharpur constituency of Bihar and was a member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Janata Dal (United) and Janata Dal.

Ritlal Yadav or Ritlal Ray is a leader of RJD who won the Bihar Legislative Council election in July 2015 as an independent candidate. Ritlal was in jail in connection with multiple criminal cases, including murder charges. Ritlal is accused in over 33 cases. He was a former Member of Legislative Council (MLC), the post, to which he was elected in 2016. He was incarcerated in Beur Jail until August 2020. However he was then released from the jail on bail.

Arun Kumar Yadav is an Indian politician and a member of Bihar Legislative Assembly. He represented the Sandesh constituency in Bhojpur district of Bihar. Arun Yadav was elected in 2015 as a member of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)

Manoj Singh Kushwaha is a former minister of Bihar. Kushwaha was the Minor Water Resources minister in the Jitan Ram Manjhi cabinet in 2014–15. He contested from the Kurhani Assembly constituency in February 2005, November 2005 and 2010 legislative assembly elections, and was victorious.
