Bodunrin Sasore, commonly known as BB Sasore, [1] [2] is a Nigerian screenwriter, film director, and co-founder of Nemsia Studios. [3] [4] He is best known as the writer and director of God Calling , and Before 30. [5] [6]

Sasore holds a degree with majors in genetics and biochemistry from Rutgers University. [7]

Career

In 2013, BB Sasore co-founded Nemsia Studios with Derin Adeyokunnu, establishing a studio dedicated to producing high-quality, story-driven films. [8]

<i>Gangs of Lagos</i> 2023 Nigerian film

Gangs of Lagos is a 2023 Nigerian thriller crime film produced and directed by Jadesola Osiberu. It stars Tobi Bakre, Adesua Etomi, Chike, Iyabo Ojo, Chioma Chukwuka, Zlatan, Bimbo Ademoye, Yvonne Jegede, Yinka Quadri, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, and Yhemolee. The film portrays the story of three friends Obalola, Ify, and Gift, who grew up in Isale Eko, a neighborhood controlled by politically connected gangs. As rival factions clash and violence erupts, they became entangled in the escalating gang warfare.

Genoveva Kenechukwu Umeh is a British–Nigerian actress. She won the Best Supporting Actress award at The AMVCA in 2024 for her role in the Prime Video Original, Breath of Life. She was nominated for the Best Actress in a drama at the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards 2022 for her role in A Tune Away. She also received critical acclaim for her roles in Nigerian's first Netflix original crime thriller series Blood Sisters and young adult series Far From Home. Chioma Okafor is a Nigerian actress and model. She is best known for her roles in Netflix's movie Aki and Pawpaw, Wale Adenuga Production’s Superstory Monica and Africa Magic’s TV shows Riona and Flatmates.

Nemsia Studios is a Nigerian film production company. Its production studios are based in Ilupeju, Lagos. The company was founded in 2013 by Derin Adeyokunnu and BB Sasore.In addition to its films, Nemsia Studios also produces TV series.

Ola Cardoso is a Nigerian cinematographer, creative director and music video director best known for his works on the films, The Blood Covenant, Banana Island Ghost and Breathe of Life, which won the AMVCA 2024 for Best Movie. He is also the founder of Film Bank Production, a film production company in Nigeria.

Derin Adeyokunnu is a Nigerian film producer, film director, entrepreneur and co-founder of Nemsia Studios a production company known for its contribution to the Nigerian film industry, Nollywood.
