Bachannapet is a village and a mandal in Jangaon district in the state of Telangana in India. [1]

Geography

Bachannapet is a Mandal (a subdistrict or administrative subdivision) in the district of Jangaon. There are 23 villages in Bachannapet, (one of which is called Bachannapet), and therefore, it is one of the largest of the 13 Mandals in the Jangaon district. The Jangoan District is administered under the Jangoan constituency, and a part of the Telangana Government. [2]

A high school was established in the village of Bachannapet in 1955. As of 2019, there is a government hospital, a junior college, a mosque, a bus stand, a petrol bunk, a police station, Mandal offices, Central Bank of India, Kakathiya Grameena Bank (SBI), a public library and several private schools. There are several historic temples in Bachannapet village; the Lord Shiva Temple is one of the most famous temples in Jangaon district.

Agriculture and textile production provide the principal sources of employment in Bachannapet. There are several rice mills in and around Bachannapet village, which also has two water reservoirs (Gudi Cheruvu & Thalla Cheruvu) for domestic and commercial use.

The Bachannapet Mandal is well connected by road with Janagaon and Siddipet via National Highway 365B. The nearest railway station is in Janagaon village which is about 17km away.
