Leonardus Jonatan Christie is an Indonesian professional badminton player. specializing in the singles discipline affiliated with the Tangkas Specs club. He won the men's singles title at the 2017 SEA Games and at the 2018 Asian Games. Christie was part of Indonesia's winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.
Anthony Sinisuka Ginting is an Indonesian badminton player. He first rose to prominence when he won the bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games. At the 2020 Olympics, he won bronze in the men's singles event. He became the first Youth Olympic badminton medalist to win a medal at the Olympics, having also won bronze in 2014. Ginting was part of Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.
Muhammad Rian Ardianto is an Indonesian badminton player. Born in Bantul, Yogyakarta SR, Ardianto plays for the Jaya Raya Jakarta club at national events. He won the men's doubles silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games, the bronze medals at the 2019 World Championships and at the 2017 SEA Games. Ardianto was part of Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.

This is for the first time the mixed team event has been contested in the SEA Games. This event particularly contested for non stronger badminton nations. It is to provide an opportunity for other nations to win medals in badminton event and also introduced to help the development of badminton sport.
