R Lingaraju (born 27 October 1973), known by his screen name Bala Rajwadi, is an Indian film and stage actor and director known for his work in Kannada cinema. Portraying mostly negative-shaded characters, he has appeared in over 90 films. Prior to acting in films, he worked as a stage actor with the theatre group called Janamana, from 1993. He has directed various documentaries and stage plays. He made his debut in the 1997 Kannada movie Nodu Baa Nammoora. Since 2016 he has been actively working in the south film industry.

Rajwadi got his major break in films after appearing as an antagonist in Bhairava Geetha (2018) which was a Ram Gopal Varma production. [1] He is also noted for his performances in films like Mufti (2017), Bharate . Panchatantra . Damayanthi . He is the founder of the Niranthara foundation (established in the year 1999), a theatre group which aims to use theatre to address various social issues. [2]

Panju debuted in Geetha bangle store, released on 11 September 2015. He starred as Shiva in the serial Mahadevi, and as Karthik in Sanju Mattu Naanu. Anjani Putra is a 2017 Indian Kannada-language action film directed by A. Harsha and produced by M. N. Kumar. The film features Puneeth Rajkumar and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles while Ramya Krishna, Mukesh Tiwari, P. Ravi Shankar and Chikkanna play supporting roles. Ravi Basrur composed the soundtrack and background score for the film, while cinematography and editing were handled by Swamy J. and Deepu S. Kumar respectively. The film was a remake of director Hari's Tamil film Poojai (2014).

The film derives its name from 1981 Kannada classic Geetha directed by Shankar Nag, however, the film team has clarified the content is very different and revolves around the famous Gokak Agitation.

Damayanthi is a 2019 Kannada mythological comedy horror film written and directed by Navarasan. The film is also being dubbed into Tamil and Malayalam with the same title and in Telugu language as Samharini. The film is produced by Sri Lakshmi Vrushadhri Productions and is touted to be a mythological horror-comedy. The horror-comedy thriller set in the 80s, has Radhika, who features in three shades. The film has G. K. Reddy, in a pivotal role, along with Saurav Lokesh, Anusha Ravi, Raj Bahadhur, Sadhu Kokila, and Tabla Nani as part of the cast. The movie was reported to be inspired by the 2017 Telugu movie Anando Brahma and released two weeks after the release of the official kannada remake of the Telugu movie "Anando Brahma" which is Mane Maratakkide.
