R Lingaraju (born 27 October 1973), known by his screen name Bala Rajwadi, is an Indian film and stage actor and director known for his work in Kannada cinema. Portraying mostly negative-shaded characters, he has appeared in over 90 films. Prior to acting in films, he worked as a stage actor with the theatre group called Janamana, from 1993. He has directed various documentaries and stage plays. He made his debut in the 1997 Kannada movie Nodu Baa Nammoora. Since 2016 he has been actively working in the south film industry.

Rajwadi got his major break in films after appearing as an antagonist in Bhairava Geetha (2018) which was a Ram Gopal Varma production. [1] He is also noted for his performances in films like Mufti (2017), Bharate . Panchatantra . Damayanthi . He is the founder of the Niranthara foundation (established in the year 1999), a theatre group which aims to use theatre to address various social issues. [2]

Kurukshetra is a 2019 Kannada-language mythological war film written by J. K. Bharavi and directed by Naganna. The story is based on the epic poem Gadhayuddha by Ranna, which itself is based on the Indian epic Mahabharata. The story is centred on Duryodhana, the Kaurava king. The film was produced by Munirathna.

Nale Ba or Naale Baa is a popular folk legend which features prominently in areas across Karnataka, India. "Naale Baa" has been found written on the doors and walls of the towns and villages for certain years. People write this on walls to prevent the entry of a malevolent spirit into their homes. It is believed that malevolent spirits or witches roam at night and take away children. In some variations, people used to believe that a witch or a malevolent spirit roam around the houses and calls the names of the persons, If a person replies, he or she is said to die by vomiting blood. In some other variations of the myth, the spirit is believed to be a bridal ghost who roams around the town in search of her husband. She is known to take away the man of the house who is often the sole earning member of the family, therefore bringing bad luck to the entire household. There are also similar legends in states like Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Bhairava Geetha is a 2018 Indian Kannada-Telugu bilingual romantic action film jointly written by Ram Gopal Verma and Ram Vamsi Krishna while directed by Siddharth Thatholu. The film is produced by veteran Ram Gopal Verma and Bhaskar Rashi under the production banner Rashi Combines. It stars Dhananjay and Irra Mor in the lead roles.

Damayanthi is a 2019 Kannada mythological comedy horror film written and directed by Navarasan. The film is also being dubbed into Tamil and Malayalam with the same title and in Telugu language as Samharini. The film is produced by Sri Lakshmi Vrushadhri Productions and is touted to be a mythological horror-comedy. The horror-comedy thriller set in the 80s, has Radhika, who features in three shades. The film has G. K. Reddy, in a pivotal role, along with Saurav Lokesh, Anusha Ravi, Raj Bahadhur, Sadhu Kokila, and Tabla Nani as part of the cast. The movie was reported to be inspired by the 2017 Telugu movie Anando Brahma and released two weeks after the release of the official kannada remake of the Telugu movie "Anando Brahma" which is Mane Maratakkide.
