Mass Leader is a 2017 Indian Kannada-language action thriller film written and directed by Narasimha, and produced jointly by Tarun Shivappa and Hardik Gowda. [2] It features Shiva Rajkumar, Pranitha Subhash and Vamsi Krishna in the lead roles whilst Vijay Raghavendra, Yogesh, Gururaj Jaggesh, Sharmiela Mandre, Ashika Ranganath and Parinitha Kitty in key supporting roles. [3] The soundtrack and score for the film is composed by Veer Samarth and the cinematography is by Guru Prashant Rai.
Bangladeshi infiltrators are thriving in Karnataka and other countries around India with the help of the politicians, who practice vote-bank politics. CM Sudarshan's brother Suyodhana takes the help of a terrorist named Rafiq to bring Bangladeshi infiltrators to cast their vote, in order to become MP, but is stopped by Shivraj and his associates Vijay aka Viji and Guru. They kill Suyodhana, earning the wrath of Sudarshan and also take actions against the crime syndicates and other illegal activities.
Azim, a Mangalore contract killer is tasked by Rafiq to kill Shivraj, but is double-crossed by his men and reunites with his mother, who is living with Shivaraj as his daughter Chummi's caretaker. With the help of a reporter Chandini, They successfully drives out the infiltrators by using widespread rumours that they are going to be attacked. Under orders from Pakistani terrorists, Rafiq plant a bomb at Chummi's surgical leg to kill Shivaraj, but Azim and his mother get killed in the blast. In a flashback, Shivraj was an INA Captain in Kashmir with a loving wife Deepa, parents and sister Shreya. Shreya is in relationship with Harshath, who is actually a terrorist and uses Shreya to spy on Shivaraj.
Shivaraj is assigned to escort Central Minister Virendra Hegde to Amarnath temple where his family is also escorted in Hegde's convoy, but the convoy is destroyed leaving Chummi handicapped. Shivaraj, with his team sneak into Harshath's hideout where they learn that their superior Pratap Sinha is the mole in the INA. A shootout ensues where Shivaraj and his team eliminate the terrorists, but Harshath escapes. In the present, Shivaraj, Viji and Guru are actually working incognito for the Indian Army where they track down Harshath and manages to kill him and his men.
The film was officially launched on 19 April 2016 in Bangalore. [4] Apart from various locations in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, the principal photography took place in Kashmir amidst heavy snow fall. [5] The crew shifted the shoot to Manali after tensions erupted in Kashmir in January 2017. [6]

Veer Samarth was signed to compose the film's music, making his 25th film. [7] The soundtrack was released on 9 July 2017, with the Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna officially launching the audio. [8]

Singanalluru Puttaswamaiah Muthuraj, better known by his stage name Dr. Rajkumar, was an Indian actor and singer who worked in Kannada cinema. He was the first actor in India to enact a role which was based on James Bond in a full-fledged manner. On the occasion of the "Centenary of Indian Cinema" in April 2013, Forbes included his performance in Bangaarada Manushya on its list of "25 Greatest Acting Performances of Indian Cinema". Upon his death, The New York Times had described him as one of India's most popular movie stars.
Puneeth Rajkumar, affectionately known as Appu, was an former Indian actor, playback singer, film producer, television presenter and philanthropist who worked in Kannada cinema. He was the youngest son of legendary actor and matinee idol Dr. Rajkumar. He was one of the most popular actors in Kannada cinema. He appeared as a lead in 32 films. As a child, he appeared in many films. His performances as a child actor in Vasantha Geetha (1980), Bhagyavantha (1981), Chalisuva Modagalu (1982), Eradu Nakshatragalu (1983), Bhakta Prahaladha (1983), Yarivanu (1984) and Bettada Hoovu (1985) were praised. He won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his role of Ramu in Bettada Hoovu. He also won Karnataka State Award Best Child artist for Chalisuva Modagalu and Eradu Nakshatragalu. Puneeth's first lead role was in 2002's Appu. In a career spanning three decades, he has won one National Film Award, four Karnataka State Film Awards, six Filmfare Awards South and five SIIMA awards. He was conferred with the Doctorate by Mysuru University. The Karnataka Government conferred the state's highest civilian award, Karnataka Ratna, to Puneeth Rajkumar on 1 November 2022, posthumously.
Jogayya is a 2011 Indian Kannada-language action drama film directed by Prem and produced by Rakshita Prem under Prem's Pictures. The film stars Shiva Rajkumar in the titular role, alongside Sumit Kaur Atwal, Pooja Gandhi, Ravishankar Gowda. It is the sequel to the 2005 film Jogi. The music was composed by V. Harikrishna, while cinematography and editing were handled by Nanda Kumar and Srinivas P. Babu.

Samyuktha is a 1988 Indian Kannada-language thriller film directed by K. N. Chandrashekar Sharma. The story is based on a novel of same name by Kakolu Saroja Rao. The film stars Shiva Rajkumar, Balaraj, Chi Guru Dutt and debutant actress Veena. The film was widely appreciated for its songs and story upon release. Killing Veerappan is a 2016 Indian Kannada-language biographical crime film directed by Ram Gopal Varma, who co-wrote the film with K. Balaji. The film is based on the events leading to Operation Cocoon to capture or kill Indian bandit Veerappan. Featuring Shiva Rajkumar in the central role touted to be based on N. K. Senthamarai Kannan, the then Superintendent of police, with the Indian Special Task Force, and the spy who masterminded Operation Cocoon.

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is a 2019 Indian Telugu-language epic historical action film directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Ram Charan under the Konidela Production Company banner. Bigil (transl. Whistle) is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language sports action drama film directed by Atlee and produced by AGS Entertainment. The film stars Vijay in the main dual lead role as father and son alongside an ensemble cast of Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Vivek, Kathir, Daniel Balaji, Anandaraj, Yogi Babu, I. M. Vijayan, Arjan Bajwa, Indhuja Ravichandran, Reba Monica John, Amritha Aiyer and Varsha Bollamma. It is the third and final collaboration of Vijay with Atlee after Theri (2016) and Mersal (2017). The film follows Michael Rayappan a.k.a. "Bigil", a former footballer-turned-gangster, who ends up as coach of a women's football team.

In 2019, Guru Deshpande turned produced launching his banner G Cinemas and started a Film Institute under the name G Academy in Bengaluru.
