V. Nagendra Prasad is a lyricist, composer and director who predominantly works for Kannada cinema. He has written more than 3000 songs, [1] largely for Kannada cinema.

Early life

Prasad was born on 3rd December, 1975. He is the elder son of M.V. Venkata Ramanappa and Chandramma of Ijjala Ghatta village in Nagamangala Taluk, Mandya District.[ citation needed ]

He completed his schooling in Doddaballapura, Bangalore, and his Master’s degree in Kannada Literature at Manasa Gangothri, Mysore University.[ citation needed ]. Prasad obtained his D.Litt (Doctor of Literature) from Hampi University in 2021. [2]

Career

V. Nagendra Prasad made his debut as a Kannada lyricist for the movie Gajina Mane directed by K. V. Jayaram in 2000 [ citation needed ]. [3] [4] He was appreciated for his debut as a dialogue writer for a supernatural film written and directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, Sri Manjunatha. [5] His debut as a director for Nalla featuring Sudeep has been remarked by many. He has also worked in music composition, direction, acting and dialogue writing for Television. [4] [6] He is also known to be involved in Theatre, both on Stage and in Street plays. [6] In 2018, he made his debut as a lead actor in his own directorial Googal movie. His other appearance was as a lead actor in the movie Guruji. [6]

V. Nagendra Prasad has penned more than 3000 songs for over 1000 movies, with hundreds of Devotional, Classical, Patriotic, and Promotional albums, and over 50 TV serials. Sampath Kumar, known by his stage name Vishnuvardhan, was an Indian actor who worked predominantly in Kannada cinema besides also having sporadically appeared in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam language films. Vishnuvardhan has a prolific career spanning over four decades, during which he has acted in more than 220 films. <i>Muddu Manase</i> 2015 Indian film

Muddu Manase is a 2015 Indian Kannada romance drama film directed by Ananth Shain. It stars Aru Gowda, Nithya Ram and Aishwarya Nag in lead roles, the former two of whom made their debuts with the film. Achyuth Kumar, Padmaja Rao and Padmini Prakash feature in supporting roles. The film tells the story of a love triangle around Suresh (Gowda), and how he goes about dealing with his old lover as he falls in love with another girl in different circumstances and time. <i>Mukunda Murari</i> 2016 Indian film

Mukunda Murari is a 2016 Indian Kannada-language devotional satirical comedy drama film directed by Nanda Kishore. The film stars Upendra in an atheist role and Sudeepa playing the role of Lord Krishna, teaming up for the first time. The film, a remake of Hindi film OMG - Oh My God! (2012), which in turn was based on a Gujarati stage play Kanji Virrudh Kanji, is produced by M.N. Kumar along with B. Jayashree Devi. The rest of the cast includes Nikita Thukral, Ishita Vyas, Kaavya Shah, P. Ravishankar, Avinash among others. The film has cinematography by Sudhakar S. Raj.
