Sandeep Chowta (born 1967 or 1968) is an Indian music director who primarily works in Bollywood and Telugu cinema. He is also the head of Columbia Records in India. [2] He has also sung some of his songs.

Contents

In 2003, he produced an anti substance abuse documentary, titled Dead End, which entered into numerous film festivals. This was produced by seventeen-year-old college student and drug activist, Tanya Khubchandani.[ citation needed ]

In 2004 Chowta invited Jay Oliver and Richard Gannaway of the world/new age musical group, AO Music (also known as AO), to his Mumbai studio, and has since become one of the group's core members. [3] [4] [5] AO Music also features Miriam Stockley, the voice of Karl Jenkins' Adiemus project, and children's choral ensembles from around the globe. AO Music album releases crediting Chowta have charted in the top five internationally since 2009. [6] [7] [8]

He has composed music for 12 Tollywood films.[ citation needed ]

Early life

Chowta was born in Ghana, [9] grew up in Nigeria and later moved to Bangalore, India. He is the son of D. K. Chowta, a Tulu author and businessman hailing from the Bunt community. [9] [10] His younger sister is ethnographer Prajna Chowta. [11]

Easy listening is a popular music genre and radio format that was most popular during the 1950s to 1970s. It is related to middle-of-the-road (MOR) music and encompasses instrumental recordings of standards, hit songs, non-rock vocals and instrumental covers of selected popular rock songs. Rajathandhiram is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language heist thriller film written and directed by debutant A. G. Amid and jointly produced by Sunland Cinemas and White Bucket Productions. Fox Star Studios acquired the distribution rights of the film. The film stars Veera and Regina Cassandra. Sandeep Chowta composed the film score while G. V. Prakash Kumar had composed a promo song, cinematography handled by S. R. Kathir, film edited by Praveen Antony, production designed by Videsh and action sequences designed and choreographed by Stunt Silva The film released on 13 March 2015. On 13 March 2016, the team announced the launch of its sequel Rajathandhiram 2 with a first six-minute video clip on YouTube. The film was remade in Kannada as Panta (2017).
