The Balaoi and Caunayan Wind Farm, is a wind farm under construction in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.

The construction of the wind power facility by AC Energy, in partnership with developer UPC Renewables, began in 2021. [1] Upon its completion it will become the biggest wind farm in the Philippines by power output [2] and the second wind farm of AC Energy in Pagudpud after the Caparispisan Wind Farm. [1] It is projected to be completed by late 2022. [3] The wind farm project reportedly cost ₱11.4-billion. [2]

The Balaoi and Caunayan Wind Farm will have a total capacity of 160MW, to be powered by 32 5MW wind turbines to be supplied by Siemens Gamesa. [1]

Burgos Wind Farm is a wind farm in Burgos, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. It is the second wind farm built in the province of Ilocos Norte and the largest project of its kind in the Philippines. The estimated cost for the construction of the wind farm was US$450 million. The wind farm was commissioned in November 9, 2014 and upon its completion it became the largest wind farm in the country and in Southeast Asia, covering 600 hectares and three barangays of Burgos, namely Saoit, Poblacion and Nagsurot. The project was the first one to be nominated by the Department of Energy as eligible for the department's feed-in tariff scheme.

Kyoto Protocol’s Clean Development Mechanism executive board.Kenya is also a signatory to the Paris Agreement and targets to reduce carbon emissions by 30% below business as usual by 2030 as determined in the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC).The Renewable Energy Directorate under the Ministry of Energy is responsible for research and development of renewable energy technologies.

Caparispisan Wind Farm

Caparispisan Wind Farm, also known as the North Luzon Renewables Wind Farm, is a wind farm in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. The wind farm was joint venture of AC Energy Holdings, the Philippine Alliance for Infrastructure and the UPC Philippines Wind Holdco. The wind farm project amounted to $220 million.
