Deerhoof are an American independent music group formed in San Francisco in 1994. They currently consist of founding drummer Greg Saunier, bassist and singer Satomi Matsuzaki, and guitarists John Dieterich and Ed Rodriguez. Beginning as an improvised noise punk band, Deerhoof became widely renowned and influential in the 2000s through self-produced albums.
Reveille is the fourth album by the band Deerhoof, released in 2002. The line-up of the band at the time was Satomi Matsuzaki, John Dieterich and Greg Saunier, with Chris Cooper contributing extra guitar work on one of the tracks. Satomi Matsuzaki also created the album's cover art. It was jointly released on the record labels 5 Rue Christine and Kill Rock Stars.

Offend Maggie is the ninth studio album by Deerhoof, released October 7, 2008 on Kill Rock Stars. Over the summer the band put up sheet music for the song "Fresh Born" online, and invited fans to record their own version. The title track is streaming on the label's website, while Wired is streaming short clips of various songs on the album.

Martha Callison Horst is an American composer. Her music has been performed by Earplay, Alea III, the Empyrean Ensemble, the Fromm Players, Left Coast Ensemble, Dal Niente, Composers, Inc., members of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the Chicago Composers Consortium, and Music Beyond Performance: SoundImageSound V. Horst studied composition at Stanford University and the University of California, Davis. She is currently Professor of Composition and Music Theory in the Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts at Illinois State University. Furthermore, she serves as an Academic Senator representing the College of Fine Arts. In the fall of 2020, she was elected Secretary of the Academic Senate placing her on the Executive Committee with the University administration.
Future Teenage Cave Artists is the fifteenth studio album by American group Deerhoof. It was released on May 29, 2020 under Joyful Noise Recordings. A tour to support the release was scheduled for May and June 2020; however, these are being rescheduled due to COVID-19.
