Bangladeshi cricket team in West Bengal in 1983–84

In December 1983, the Bangladesh cricket team made a short tour to West Bengal. This followed the tour made by West Bengal, led by Dilip Doshi, earlier in the year. Bangladesh won their matches against the district oppositions, but lost the most significant match at Eden Gardens against West Bengal. [1]

The team

Raqibul Hasan was named captain of the Bangladesh team. The other members were Jahangir Shah Badshah, Rafiqul Alam, Gazi Ashraf Lipu, Ahemd Iqbal Bacchu, Nehal Hasnain, Dipu Chowdhury, Samiur Rahman Sami, Faisal Haider (WK), Assduzzaman Misha, Minhajul Abedin Nannu, Golam Faruq Suru, Anwarul Amin Azhar, and Ramchand Goala.

Mehidy Hasan Bangladeshi cricketer

Mehidy Hasan Miraz is a Bangladeshi international cricketer who plays Tests, One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 for the Bangladesh national team. A bowling-all-rounder, he is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off break bowler. In November 2018, against the West Indies, he took the best match figures for a Bangladesh bowler in a Test match. In February 2021, he scored his maiden century in Tests against the West Indies. Nayeem Hasan Bangladeshi cricketer

Mohammad Nayeem Hasan is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Chittagong Division in the 2016–17 National Cricket League on 10 October 2015. He made his Test match debut for the Bangladesh cricket team in November 2018, taking five wickets in the first innings. In the process, he became the youngest bowler to take a five-wicket haul on debut in Tests, at the age of 17 years and 356 days.

Hasan Mahmud is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He made his international debut for the Bangladesh cricket team in March 2020.

The West Indies cricket team toured Bangladesh in November and December 2018 to play two Tests, three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. It was the West Indies first full tour of Bangladesh since December 2012. The fixtures were confirmed in July 2018, with the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium scheduled to host its first ODI match. During the third ODI, it hosted its first ODI match.

The Bangladesh cricket team toured India in November 2019 to play two Test and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The Test series formed part of the inaugural 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship. It was the second time that Bangladesh toured India to play a Test series, and the first time that Bangladesh played a T20I series against India in India. The Test series also featured the first day/night match to be played by either side.

The West Indies cricket team toured Bangladesh in January and February 2021 to play two Tests and three One Day International (ODI) matches. The Test series formed part of the inaugural 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship and the ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
