Cricket West Indies (CWI) is the governing body for cricket in the West Indies. It was originally formed in the early 1920s as the West Indies Cricket Board of Control, but changed its name to West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) in 1996. In November 2015, the Board resolved to rename itself as Cricket West Indies as part of a restructuring exercise that would also see the creation of a separate commercial body. This rebranding formally occurred in May 2017.

Pickwick Cricket Club is a Barbados cricket club. The club was founded on 23 November 1882, the second oldest cricket club in Barbados after Wanderers Cricket Club. The club's home from its foundation until 2005 was Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, the main venue for matches involving the Barbados national cricket team and the Barbados venue for Test cricket involving the West Indies cricket team. The ground was built on land on Kensington Plantation leased by the club for a penny per annum. Pickwick club developed Kensington Oval into the finest ground in Barbados and it soon replaced the Wanderers Ground and the Garrison Savanna as the venue for inter-colonial matches.
Empire Cricket Club is a cricket club in Barbados. The club plays in Barbados Cricket Association Division 1 championship. The club was formed on 24 May 1914—Empire Day—from which it took its name. The club was formed by a defection of disaffected members of Spartan Cricket Club, when Spartan had refused membership to the "socially inferior" Barbadian cricketer Herman Griffith in 1913.
Wanderers Cricket Club is a Barbadian cricket club. The club plays in the Barbados Cricket Association Elite Division, the highest division of domestic cricket in Barbados. A multi-sport club, Wanderers also possesses a masters football team and a hockey team.
Maple Club is a multi-sport club in Barbados. Maple's cricket team play in the Barbados Cricket Association Division 1 championship. Maple is based in Holetown, Saint James with the home ground at Trents playing fields. The club emblem is the maple leaf. Its colours have always been black and white with the green maple leaf emblem. The club motto is Palmam qui meruit ferat. Since its first official sport was football and it expected to participate in other sports during 1959 and beyond, it did not name any sport in its official name. The name "Maple Club" was preferred over "Holetown Club" so as to invite participation of youngsters from other nearby districts.

The club is based in Black Rock, north of Bridgetown and its home ground is the Desmond Haynes Oval. Carlton was founded on 1 April 1940 as a club for "lower middle income whites and near whites for whom there was no space in Pickwick and Wanderers [cricket clubs]". Changes in Barbadian society meant that from the 1960s onwards, the membership of Carlton gradually came to reflect the general Barbadian population.
YMPC Cricket Club is a cricket club in Barbados. The club plays in the Barbados Cricket Association Division 1 championship. The club is part of the Young Men's Progressive Club of Barbados, established in 1935 for "lower middle income whites and near whites for whom there was no space in Pickwick and Wanderers [cricket clubs]". Changes in Barbadian society meant that from the 1960s onwards, the membership of YMPC gradually came to reflect the general Barbadian population. YMPC's home ground is at Beckles Road, Saint Michael. The club motto is "Mens sana in corpore sano".
St. Catherine Sport and Social Club is a cricket club in Barbados. The club competes in the Barbados Cricket Association Division 1 championship with its home ground at Bayfield, Saint Philip. Unlike other Barbadian clubs such as Pickwick, Wanderers and Carlton, St Catherine began as a club primarily for the black population.
Wildey Sports and Cultural Club is a cricket club in Barbados. The club competes in the Barbados Cricket Association Elite Division competition, the premier cricket competition in Barbados. The club was established in 1964 for and by employees of Banks Brewery, a leading brewery in Barbados and until 2014 was called Banks Sports and Cultural Club Until 2013, the club played at the Brewery Ground; it now plays at the Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology at Pine Hill.
LIME Sports Club is a cricket club in Barbados. The club competes in the Barbados Cricket Association Division 1 competition, the premier cricket competition in Barbados. The club was established for employees of Barbados External Telecommunications (BET), later Cable & Wireless, and since 2008, LIME.
Jomel Andrel Warrican is a West Indian cricketer. He is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler and a right-handed tail-end batsman.
Shanika Jamila Bruce is a Barbadian cricketer who plays for the Barbados women's national cricket team in the Women's Super50 Cup and the Twenty20 Blaze tournaments. In April 2019, Bruce was named as one of six reserve players for the West Indies' tour of England and Ireland. In April 2021, Bruce was named in Cricket West Indies' high-performance training camp in Antigua. Bruce is also studying for a degree at the University of the West Indies.
