Barra da Lagoa is a small fishing village in the city of Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. The village is set on the mouth of a tidewater channel that flows in and out of the Island's sizable lagoon, the Lagoa da Conceição. The channel is at the end of a long beach made up of Praia Barra da Lagoa (English:Barra da Lagoa Beach) and Mozambique Beach which form a single 14 km stretch of beach. [1] [2] [3]

The Projeto TAMAR is a Brazilian non-profit organization owned by the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation. The main objective of the project is to protect sea turtles from extinction in the Brazilian coastline.

Tofo in Inhambane Province, Mozambique

Mole Beach is located in the city of Florianópolis, Brazil. The beach extends 960 metres and the width varies from 10 m to 120 m. It is one of the many LGBT touristic spots of Florianópolis. Mole beach is also known for its strong and long waves making it ideal for surfing. The beach is also a traditional point for the youth of this island.

Praia dos Ingleses

Praia dos Ingleses is a beach located in the neighborhood of Ingleses do Rio Vermelho, in the north of the Santa Catarina Island 31 km from the Centro downtown district of Florianópolis the capital of the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil.

Twelve venues in twelve Brazilian cities were selected for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The cities also house the 32 teams and fan-zones for spectators without tickets for the stations. Around 3 million tickets were put on sale of which most were sold out in a day. Eighteen locations were presented as potential host cities with the twelve successful host city candidates being announced on 31 May 2009: Belém, Campo Grande, Florianópolis, Goiânia and Rio Branco were rejected, while Maceió had already withdrawn in January 2009.

Mozambique Beach

Mozambique Beach is the longest beach on Santa Catarina Island in Brazil at 7.5 km in length. The beach is located to the north of Barra da Lagoa in the east of the island.

Praia de Naufragados is a beach on Santa Catarina Island in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. The beach is 1.45 km in length and is only accessible by a 4 km walking trail.

Rio Vermelho State Park

The Rio Vermelho State Park Portuguese: Parque Estadual do Rio Vermelho is a state park in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. It protects an area of restinga, dense rainforest and land modified by exotic plantations which is to be restored. The park provides a green space for visitors from the nearby state capital of Florianópolis. It features an ecological trail where visitors may see and learn about wild animals rescued from abuse by the environmental police.
