Barrie Blizzard were a Canadian professional indoor lacrosse team that played in the Canadian Lacrosse League. [1] The team is played its home games at the Barrie Molson Centre. [2]
In December, 2014, eleven new players were added to the Blizzard roster. [3] in 2015, the Blizzard won the Canadian Lacrosse League's Creator's Cup. [4] [5] The team's head coach was Brad MacArthur. [6]

The Minto Cup is awarded annually to the champion junior men's box lacrosse team of Canada.
Gaylord Powless (1946–2001) was a Haudenosaunee lacrosse player from the Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation Indian reserve near Brantford, Ontario. His father Ross was also a highly regarded player. In 2017, Powless was inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame.
HMMT is an annual high school math competition that started in 1998. The location of the tournament, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, alternates between Harvard University and MIT. The contest is written and staffed almost entirely by Harvard and MIT students.
The Peterborough Lakers are Senior "A" box lacrosse team from Peterborough, Ontario. They play in the Major Series Lacrosse league where under the current format, they compete in 16 regular season games from May through July and playoffs beginning in August and ending with the Mann Cup in September. The Lakers play their home games at the 4,329-seat multipurpose Peterborough Memorial Centre.
The Mike Kelley Memorial Trophy is awarded annually to the Most Valuable Player of the Mann Cup competition.
Marty O'Neill is a former lacrosse player and former General Manager of the Minnesota Swarm (2004-2011) and Philadelphia Wings (2001-2004) of the National Lacrosse League (NLL). O'Neill, a goaltender, joined the Boston Blazers of the Major Indoor Lacrosse League in 1993.O'Neill played eight season of Pro lacrosse, five seasons with the Boston Blazers, one with the Syracuse Smash, and two with the Buffalo Bandits before retiring after the 2000 season. He was voted the Blazer's MVP by his teammates in Boston for both the 1994 and 1995 seasons.
Clay Hill is a professional box lacrosse player. He was a member of the National Lacrosse League's Buffalo Bandits for seven seasons, where he won a NLL Championship in 2008. He also played from 1997 until 2012 as a member of the Mann Cup-eligible Six Nations Chiefs. Now, late in his career, he plays in the semi-professional Canadian Lacrosse League during the winter and the OLA Senior B Lacrosse League in the summer.
SouthWest Cyclops were a Canadian professional indoor lacrosse team that played in the Canadian Lacrosse League. The team, originally named the Brampton Inferno, played their 2015 season in Paris, Ontario.
Founded by Paul St. John in 2011, the Canadian Lacrosse League (CLax) was a men's semi-professional indoor lacrosse league based exclusively in Ontario, Canada. CLax ceased operation on August 31, 2016 after the league's single-entity ownership group, Charlesway Corporation Limited and Rodney 'Demon' Hill, deemed the league's business model to be no longer viable.

The goaltender or goalie is a playing position in indoor or box lacrosse. More heavily armoured than a field lacrosse goaltender, since the invent of indoor lacrosse in 1931, the box lacrosse goalie has evolved into a much different position than its field lacrosse cousin.
Robert "Buff" McCready was a Canadian professional and amateur box lacrosse goaltender. McCready was also a professional lacrosse coach in the National Lacrosse League. He won the Mann Cup National Canadian Major championship and was named 1971 most valuable player. McCready was considered an elite goaltender in his time and is credited as turning the goaltending position into an offensive threat as well as the last line of defense. He is a member of the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
Donald "Mr. Nice Guy" Brian Rickerby Hamilton is a Canadian retired professional and amateur box lacrosse goaltender and a professional ice hockey goaltender. Hamilton was considered an elite goaltender in his time and is a member of the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame. He is remembered as the only goaltender to have completed a shutout in a Mann Cup national championship game.
William Lloyd "Moon" Wootton was a Canadian professional box lacrosse goaltender. At the height of his career, Moon was considered by some to be the best lacrosse goaltender in Canada and by some to be the greatest lacrosse goaltender in history. He holds the distinction of winning five straight Mann Cup national championships, three Mann Cup most valuable player honours, and nine Ontario Senior A Championships in nine season of participation. He was entered into the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame in its first year of existence.
The St. Catharines Saints are a Canadian Senior box lacrosse team. The team played in the City of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada and participate in the OLA Senior B Lacrosse League. They were the 2013 Presidents Cup National Champions and three-time Ontario Lacrosse Association Senior B Champions.

Tanya Dennis is a Canadian women's international footballer who plays as a defender. She is a member of the Canada women's national soccer team. She was part of the team at the 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup and 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup. At college level she played for Nebraska Cornhuskers in the United States. At club level, she played for the Toronto Lady Lynx and Ottawa Fury.
