The Beach water polo tournaments at the 2023 World Beach Games , the first edition of the Games, will be held from 6 to 12 August 2023 in Bali, Indonesia and organised by the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC).

Contents

Two events will take place: the men's tournament and the women's tournament. A total of 24 teams will participate (12 in the men's competition and 12 in the women's). Both the men's and women's squads can consist of up to 7 players, meaning a total of 168 athletes are expected to take part.

Qualification

Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) is allowed to enter one men's team and one women's team into the competition. In order to play at the Games, these teams need to qualify. [1]

    The ANOC World Beach Games, known simply as the World Beach Games, is an international multi-sport event organized by the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC). The games are held biennially in odd-numbered years, with a focus on non-Olympic beach and water sports and a primary target audience of 15 to 35 year olds. It was first held in 2019 in Doha, Qatar.

    There were 128 qualifying places available for archery at the 2020 Summer Olympics: 64 for women and 64 for men. The qualification standards were released by World Archery in March 2018. The 2020 Olympics were postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

    The UEFA qualifiers for the 2023 World Beach Games, known officially as the ANOC World Beach Games European Qualifier Catania 2022, was a beach soccer tournament contested by European national teams who are members of UEFA that took place to determine the nations from Europe that qualified to the beach soccer events at the second edition of the ANOC World Beach Games in Bali, Indonesia.

    The beach soccer tournaments at the 2023 World Beach Games were due to held from 6 to 12 August 2023 in Bali, Indonesia and organised by the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC). However, on 4 July 2023, the Games were announced as cancelled due to the last minute withdrawal of the Indonesian Olympic Committee as hosts. Thus, the beach soccer tournaments never took place, despite preliminary qualification competitions having already been carried out.

    The Beach volleyball tournaments at the 2023 World Beach Games, the second edition of the Games, will be held from 6 to 12 August 2023 in Bali, Indonesia and organised by the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC).
