It was recorded in June 1987, immediately prior to the commencement of "Rock Runt Riket", a 15-date joint tour of Sweden. It was performed by all three acts together as an encore during every date of the tour.

Scocco was the singer for the pop group Ratata (1980–83) transformed into a duo with Johan Ekelund (1983–89). After Ratata, Scocco has continued as a solo artist since. In 2014, he cooperated with Plura Jonsson releasing a joint album as Mauro & Plura.

The selections were picked by Scocco himself. It also included a version of the Scocco-penned Lisa Nilsson hit "Himlen runt hörnet", featuring Scocco himself, Nilsson, and Swedish blues artist Driftwood. It also charted on the Svensktoppen for 14 weeks between 7 October 1988-22 January 1989, also topping that chart. "Sarah" became the most popular Trackslistan song of 1988.

"Till dom ensamma" is a song written and recorded by Mauro Scocco for his 1991 studio album Dr. Space dagbok, and released as a single the same year. The song charted at Svensktoppen for 22 weeks between 8 December 1991-10 May 1992, topping the chart. It also peaked at number 12 on the Swedish Singles Chart.

Årets julklapp! was released on 5 November 2012, and is a Mauro Scocco Christmas album. It was only released to digital download, and for physical sales at Coop Forum. The album includes guest artists like Sarah Dawn Finer and Plura Jonsson. The album contains both newritten songs by Mauro Scocco himself, and recording of songs by other artists. The song Julkort från New York also appeared on his 2011 album Musik för nyskilda. In 2013 the album was rerelased with the additional title: "Andra utgåvan", containing the single "Vita vägen hem" acting as a bonus track bonusspår.

En gång i tiden is the second studio album by Swedish singer Benjamin Ingrosso, released on 15 January 2021 by TEN Music Group. Ingrosso's first album in Swedish, he is credited as a co-producer on every song. Dealing with themes of love, friendship, and childhood, Ingrosso described the album as an homage to 1990s pop, with influences from Orup, Mauro Scocco, and Lisa Nilsson. In mid-2020, Ingrosso was a contestant on the Swedish music reality series Så mycket bättre; two of his covers from the series are included on the track listing, including "Långsamt farväl", originally by Nilsson. The lyrics of "Längst inne i mitt huvud" were taken from a poem by Swedish writer Barbro Lindgren. "Flickan på min gata", written when Ingrosso was 12–13 years old, was released as a single on 11 January 2021.
