Beau MacMillan (born March 4, 1971) is an American chef and television personality. He is the executive chef for Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain, an upscale resort in Arizona, and its featured restaurant, elements. He is also known by his nickname, "BeauMac." [2]
At 16 years old, MacMillan started working at Crane Brook Tea Room in Carver. He worked under Chef Francois de Melogue for a year. He went on La Vieille Maison in Boca Raton, Florida, eventually promoted to sous chef.
MacMillan moved to Los Angeles to become sous chef at Hotel Bel-Air. He was later hired at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica. In 1998, he was hired as the Executive Chef at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain (formerly known as The Ranch on Camelback). In March 2001, MacMillan and former Executive Chef Charles Wiley opened the restaurant elements.
In 2023 Beau MacMillan and Scott Conant opened up CALA in Scottsdale, Arizona.
While MacMillan was handing out hors d'oeuvres at the Aspen Food & Wine festival in 2005, Food Network's senior vice president of program planning, Bruce Seidel, approached him. Seidel had visited MacMillan at elements and invited him to take a turn on Iron Chef America , where he eventually beat Bobby Flay in "Battle American Kobe Beef." [2]
In early 2010, MacMillan co-hosted Season 1 of Food Network's Worst Cooks in America with Anne Burrell, and in August 2012, he joined the pro team on Beat the Chefs on the Game Show Network.
In 2011, he participated in The Next Iron Chef and was eliminated from the competition in the fourth episode.
He also was on Guy's Grocery Games as a judge and a chef who won $16,000 for his second favorite charity, St. Mary's Food Bank.
Iron Chef is a Japanese television cooking show produced by Fuji Television. The series, which premiered on October 10, 1993, was a stylized cook-off featuring guest chefs challenging one of the show's resident "Iron Chefs" in a timed cooking battle built around a specific theme ingredient. The series ended on September 24, 1999, although four occasional specials were produced from January 5, 2000, to January 2, 2002. The series aired 309 episodes. Repeats are regularly aired on the Food Network in Canada, the Cooking Channel in the United States, and on Special Broadcasting Service in Australia. Iron Chef can be viewed on Peacock TV and streamed for free on Pluto TV in the United States. There are 5 spinoffs, with the latest being Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend.
Iron Chef America is an American cooking show based on Fuji Television's Iron Chef, and is the second American adaptation of the series, following the failed Iron Chef USA that aired in 2001. The show is produced by Food Network, which also carried a dubbed version of the original Iron Chef. Like the original Japanese program, the program is a culinary game show. In each episode, a new challenger chef competes against one of the resident "Iron Chefs" in a one-hour cooking competition based on a secret ingredient or ingredients, and sometimes theme.
Robert William Flay is an American celebrity chef, food writer, restaurateur, and reality television personality. Flay is the owner and executive chef of several restaurants and franchises, including Bobby's Burger Palace, Bobby's Burgers, and Amalfi. Anne W. Burrell is an American chef, television personality, and former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. She was also one of the Iron Chefs, Mario Batali's sous chefs in the Iron Chef America series and appears on other programs on the network such as The Best Thing I Ever Ate. She was a contestant on the fourth season of The Food Network competition show, The Next Iron Chef Super Chefs being eliminated in episode 6. She was also a contestant on the first season of Chopped All-Stars Tournament, winning the "Food Network Personalities" preliminary round to advance to the final round, where she placed second runner up to Nate Appleman (winner) and Aarón Sanchez. In 2015, Burrell won the fourth installment of the Chopped All-Stars tournament winning $75,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. She also hosted the series Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell in 2012–2013.
Robert Paul Irvine is an English celebrity chef and talk show host who has appeared on and hosted a variety of Food Network programs including Dinner: Impossible, Worst Cooks in America, Restaurant: Impossible, A Hero's Welcome, Operation Restaurant, All-Star Academy, Guy's Grocery Games, Chopped: Impossible, and Restaurant Express. Irvine currently operates one restaurant, Fresh Kitchen by Robert Irvine, located within The Pentagon. He also operated Robert Irvine's Public House at the Tropicana resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, from 2017 until the closure of the Tropicana in 2024. Irvine launched The Robert Irvine Show, a daytime talk show which aired weekdays on The CW between 12 September 2016 and 25 May 2018.

Izard received a James Beard Foundation Award for "Best Chef: Great Lakes" in 2013 for her work at Girl and the Goat. Beat the Chefs is an American television cooking game show broadcast by Game Show Network (GSN) and hosted by Matt Rogers. The series features contestants preparing a home-cooked family recipe, while professional chefs Beau MacMillan, Antonia Lofaso and Jeff Henderson make the same recipe in an upscale restaurant version. The two dishes are then judged by a panel of food critics who are Christy Jordan and Brad A Johnson. The series premiered on August 23, 2012, and aired its last episode on November 26, 2012.
