Beau Monga (born 14 April 1994) is a New Zealand singer/beatboxer from Manurewa, who won the second season of the New Zealand version of The X Factor. [2]

Early life

Monga was born in South Auckland in 1994. He is the son of Betty-Anne and Ryan Monga of the group Ardijah.

Musical influence

Monga cites his parents, James Brown and Michael Jackson as his main musical influences. [3]

The X Factor

At his audition, Monga performed a version of "Hit the Road Jack" using a loop pedal. He received a standing ovation from all four judges and positive comments. As of 2022, his audition has received over 85 million combined views on Facebook and YouTube after going viral online. [4] [5] After the elimination of Nofo Lameko on week 2 and Stevie Tonks in week 9, Beau was the final act on the boys category who progressed through to the grand final. Going into the grand final, Beau was also the only act in series 2 who never landed in the bottom two. He eventually won the series after beating Nyssa Collins and Brendon Thomas and The Vibes in the grand final. He was initially mentored by Natalia Kills, but he was replaced by former Australian judge Natalie Bassingthwaighte after Kills was removed from the show due to a bullying controversy in the first live show.[ citation needed ] He is the first (and, to date, only) male winner of The X Factor NZ.

The Collective (band) Australian boy band

The Collective were an Australian boy band consisting of members Trent Bell, Julian De Vizio, Zach Russell, Jayden Sierra and Will Singe. They were formed during the fourth season of The X Factor Australia in 2012 and finished in third place. The Collective subsequently signed with Sony Music Australia and released their debut single "Surrender", which debuted at number six on the ARIA Singles Chart. The group's self-titled album, The Collective, was released in December 2012 and debuted at number 11 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The Collective disbanded in 2015 to pursue solo careers.

Marlisa Ann Punzalan, also known simply as Marlisa, is an Australian singer. After winning the sixth season of The X Factor Australia in 2014, she became the youngest contestant to win the show at age 15. Punzalan subsequently received a recording contract with Sony Music Australia and released her debut single "Stand by You", which debuted at number two on the ARIA Singles Chart and was certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association. Brendon Thomas and The Vibes is a New Zealand rock band consisting of members Brendon Thomas, Timothee Nolier, and Michael Anderson. They formed in Auckland in 2013 and placed third on the second series of the New Zealand version of The X Factor. Competing in the Groups category, they were mentored by Willy Moon then Shelton Woolwright. They are the first band in the New Zealand version of The X Factor to make it into the final.

"King and Queen" is the winner's single by the second New Zealand series winner of The X Factor, Beau Monga. It was released digitally on 18 May 2015 and on CD single in June, as the lead single from his self-titled debut album. "King and Queen" was written solely by Beau Monga and produced by Soko Lapez. It debuted at number two on the Official New Zealand Music Chart and number one on the New Zealand Artist chart.

4th Impact Filipino girl group

4th Impact is a Filipino girl group composed of sisters Almira, Irene, Mylene and Celina Cercado. The group competed in the twelfth season of the British singing contest The X Factor, where they finished in fifth place. They are also known for having participated in several Philippine and international talent competitions, including the World Championships of Performing Arts, which they won in 2006 and 2013, and the South Korean talent search Superstar K6 in 2014, where they reached eighth place. The sisters are originally from Roxas, Isabela, and are now based in Metro Manila.

Isaiah Firebrace is an Australian singer who won the eighth season of The X Factor Australia in 2016. He then represented Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "Don't Come Easy", where he finished 9th.
