Beautiful History: A Hits Collection is the third compilation album by Christian singer Plumb. It contains re-recordings of three songs from her 1998 album candycoatedwaterdrops as well as singles from her later albums Beautiful Lumps of Coal , Chaotic Resolve and Blink . It also contains two new songs recorded for the album, "Hang On" and "Beautiful History." It peaked at No. 39 on Billboard's Christian Albums chart. [6]

The song is the opening track on the album and was released as its lead single on October 6, 2003, through Geffen Records. "Beautiful" is the fifth and final single from American rapper Eminem's sixth studio album Relapse, released on August 11, 2009. The song samples "Reaching Out", originally recorded by British rock band Rock Therapy. This version of "Reaching Out" is taken from the Queen + Paul Rodgers 2005–2006 tour, which used Eminem's "Lose Yourself" as the house music. The song was partially written during the first time he went to rehab in 2005, and the song would not be finished until he got clean years later, when he added a third verse and released the song on Relapse.

"Hang On" is a single from Plumb's third compilation album Beautiful History and is one of four original songs featured in the set. "Hang On" was recorded to be used in the 2009 original soundtrack to the film Twilight: New Moon but did not make the cut. The track reached the top spot of the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play in 2009 and was her first number-one single of 2010 on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart.

A deluxe edition of the album was released on September 16, 2014 with six additional tracks.

"Jail" is a song by American rapper Kanye West from his tenth studio album, Donda (2021). The song includes vocals from fellow American rapper Jay-Z. Towards the end of the album, another version of the song titled "Jail pt 2" appears, which includes more vocals from DaBaby and Marilyn Manson. It won the award for Best Rap Song at the 2022 Grammy Awards.
