Bee Run (Missouri)

Bee Run is a stream in northern St. Francois County in the U.S. state of Missouri. [1] It is a tributary of the Big River.

The stream headwaters arise on a hillside adjacent to an old railroad tunnel [2] at 38°00′22″N90°30′03″W / 38.00611°N 90.50083°W / 38.00611; -90.50083 . [1] The stream flows southwest generally parallel to and northwest of Missouri Route 67 past the community of Silver Springs and the Lake Timberline area to its confluence with the Big River about three miles north of Bonne Terre at 37°58′00″N90°33′32″W / 37.96667°N 90.55889°W / 37.96667; -90.55889 Coordinates: 37°58′00″N90°33′32″W / 37.96667°N 90.55889°W / 37.96667; -90.55889 . [1] [3]

Bee Run was so named on account of honeybees near its course. [4]
