The Indian Police Service is a civil service under the All India Services. It replaced the Indian Imperial Police in 1948,a year after India became independent from the British Empire.

The film is about a man named Ramana who decides to abolish corruption completely with the help of his ex-students who are working in various government offices. The film released on 4 November 2002. It received positive reviews from critics and became a superhit. It was awarded the 2002 Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Film and A. R. Murugadoss won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Dialogue Writer. The film was dubbed and released in Hindi as Mar Mitenge 3 in 2015.
Rajesh B Lakhoni is the CMD of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and TANGEDCO,and chairman of TANTRANSCO in place of Pankaj Kumar Bansal,changed from the position of Principal Secretary/Commissioner of Archives and Historical Research Department. Thoothukudi massacre denotes events that took place on 22 and 23 May 2018 in Thoothukudi,Tamil Nadu,India. The violence took place during an ongoing protest against proposed expansion of a copper smelter plant run by Sterlite Corporation in Thoothukudi town. Police opened fire on the protesters,killed 13 people and left 102 injured. Several policemen were also injured during the protests.
Aparajita Sarangi is an Indian politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party and the incumbent Member of Parliament from Bhubaneswar. A former Odisha cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1994 batch,Sarangi quit her job and joined the BJP on 27 November 2018 to contest the 2019 Indian general election. Archana Ramasundaram,also spelt as Archana Ramasundram,is a retired Indian police officer who was a member of Tamil Nadu Police. She served in the Indian Police Service (IPS) for 37 years until her retirement in 2018 and was the first woman police officer of India to lead a central paramilitary force. Her husband Ramasundaram served as a senior state IAS officer in the state of Tamil Nadu until 2011.

She has worked in fifteen different departments under Government of Tamil Nadu. She is known for her penchant for being on the field and taking bold decisions.
