Beginnings is the debut studio album by South African musician and singer-songwriter Trevor Rabin, released in 1977 on RPM Records. In 1978, the album was reissued as Trevor Rabin by Chrysalis Records. It was reissued in 2003 by Voiceprint Records. [1]

Yes are an English progressive rock band formed in London in 1968 by lead singer and frontman Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Peter Banks, keyboardist Tony Kaye and drummer Bill Bruford. The band has undergone numerous line-up changes throughout its history; 19 musicians have been full-time members. Since June 2015, it has consisted of guitarist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White, keyboardist Geoff Downes, singer Jon Davison, and bassist Billy Sherwood. Yes have explored several musical styles over the years and are most notably regarded as progressive rock pioneers.

Trevor Rabin South African-born musician, singer-songwriter

Trevor Charles Rabin is a South African musician, singer-songwriter, producer, and film composer. Born into a musical family and raised in Johannesburg, Rabin took up the piano and guitar at an early age and became a session musician, playing and producing with a variety of artists. In 1972, he joined the rock band Rabbitt who enjoyed considerable success in South Africa, and released his first solo album, Beginnings. In 1978, Rabin moved to London to further his career, working as a solo artist and a producer for various artists including Manfred Mann's Earth Band.

<i>90125</i> 1983 studio album by Yes

90125 is the eleventh studio album by the English progressive rock band Yes, released on 7 November 1983 by Atco Records. After Yes disbanded in 1981, following the Drama (1980) tour, bassist Chris Squire and drummer Alan White formed Cinema with guitarist and singer-songwriter Trevor Rabin and original Yes keyboardist Tony Kaye, who was fired in 1971, and began recording an album. They adopted a more commercial and pop-oriented musical direction as the result of their new material, much of which derived from Rabin's demos, with former Yes singer Trevor Horn as their producer. During the mixing stage, former Yes singer Jon Anderson, who had left in 1980, accepted the invitation to return and record the lead vocals, and subsequently Cinema became the new lineup of Yes.

Rabbitt

Rabbitt were a South African rock band formed in 1972, evolving from a band called The Conglomeration, consisting of members Trevor Rabin, Duncan Faure, Ronnie Robot, and Neil Cloud. Their successes included making it to the top of the South African charts with the hit "Charlie" in 1976. Rabbitt broke up in 1978. Rabin later became a member of Yes, and Faure went on to join the Bay City Rollers.

<i>Big Generator</i> 1987 studio album by Yes

Big Generator is the twelfth studio album by English progressive rock band Yes, released on 21 September 1987 by Atco Records. After touring in support of their previous album, 90125 (1983), which saw the band move from progressive rock towards a pop-oriented and commercially accessible direction, Yes started work on a follow-up in 1985 with producer Trevor Horn. It was a laborious album to make; recording began at Carimate, Italy, but internal and creative differences resulted in production to resume in London, where Horn ended his time with the band due to continuing problems. The album was completed in Los Angeles in 1987 by Trevor Rabin and producer Paul DeVilliers.

9012Live: The Solos is the third live album by English rock band Yes, released as a mini-LP on 7 November 1985 by Atco Records. Recorded during their 1984 world tour in support of their eleventh studio album, 90125 (1983), the album features a selection of solo tracks performed by each of the five band members, plus live versions of two songs from 90125. The album was an accompany release to the band's 1985 concert film, 9012Live. In 2009, the album was reissued in Japan by Isao Kikuchi for Warner Music Japan, with two bonus tracks.

Cinema were an English short-lived progressive rock band started in January 1982 by former Yes members Alan White and Chris Squire, with guitarist Trevor Rabin. The previous year, Squire and White had formed the abortive band XYZ with former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page. Cinema had plans to release their debut album in 1983, and were working on a number of songs, most of which had been written by Rabin.

Although it would be in chronological order based on the release date of the Talk's reissue that being 2002 which would put the record between Disc 3 (2001) and Disc 5 (2003) even though the Talk album was originally released in 1994. The fifth disc is a single CD version of what was later released as the 2CD live album Live at Montreux 2003.

Rhythm of Love (Yes song) 1987 song by Yes

"Rhythm of Love" is a song by Yes. It appeared on the 1987 Big Generator album. It was released repeatedly as a single, alternating as the A-side or B-side of "Love Will Find a Way". It was also remixed many times, though, thus far, only two have seen a legal issue on CD; both appeared on the 1987 CD single, and have not seen an official release elsewhere. Paulinho Da Costa was brought in for percussion overdubs. The song eventually became one of the band's most popular songs and appeared on a number of tours since 1987, eventually becoming the 18th most played song at Yes concerts, appearing 384 times as of 2009.

<i>Cant Look Away</i> 1989 studio album by Trevor Rabin

Can't Look Away is the fourth studio album by singer-songwriter and musician Trevor Rabin, released on 10 July 1989 on Elektra Records. The album reached No. 111 on the U.S. Billboard 200 during a stay of ten weeks. "Something to Hold on To" was released as a single and reached No. 3 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart, with its accompanying music video receiving a nomination for Best Video, Short Form at the 1990 Grammy Awards. In a 2004 interview, Rabin described Can't Look Away as "by far my best solo album and the one I'm happiest with." The album was reissued in 2011 through Voiceprint Records.

Jacaranda is the fifth studio album by South African musician, songwriter, and producer Trevor Rabin, released on May 8, 2012 on Varèse Sarabande. His first solo album of new material since Can't Look Away (1989), Rabin started work on the album in 2007 by writing music in various styles that was challenging for him to play, including jazz fusion, rock, blues, classical, and bluegrass. Most of the album's song titles refer to Rabin's experiences while growing up in South Africa. Recording took place over a six-year period at his studio in Los Angeles. Five guest musicians perform on the album, including drummers Lou Molino III, Vinnie Colaiuta, Rabin's son Ryan, bassist Tal Wilkenfeld, and singer Liz Constantine.

Yes Featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, Rick Wakeman, also known as Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman (ARW), were a progressive rock band founded by former Yes members Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman (keyboards) in an offshoot of the band. The three had previously worked together in Yes for the 1991–1992 Union Tour. The trio were first announced as working together in 2010.

Runner (song) 1984 single by Manfred Manns Earth Band

The Runner, also Runner, is a song written by Canadian rock musician Ian Thomas, his version released in 1981 on the album of the same name. It was also recorded by Manfred Mann's Earth Band, an artist known for making hits of reworked cover songs, and released as a single in 1984. It reached number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.
