Behind The Beats, Vol. 1 is the eighth independent release by American producer/rapper Danny!. It is a promotional disc consisting of snippets from twenty self-produced songs from his own discography, directly followed by a snippet from its original musical source. Behind The Beats, Vol. 1 was compiled and mixed by Danny himself, with a format akin to that of fellow producer Ski Beatz's own 2007 compilation disc entitled Beatz, Rhymes & Samples.

The album was released in extremely limited quantities on September 11, 2007 (see 2007 in music) via Danny's 1911 Music/Badenov Records imprint.

The single was a success, peaking at number 14 in the UK and topping the chart in Japan. The accompanying music video was directed by Floria Sigismondi and depicts Bowie at three different ages. "Money, Cash, Hoes" is a song by American rapper Jay-Z as the third single from his third album Vol. 2... Hard Knock Life (1998). It was released on December 18, 1998. While the album version features a guest verse from rapper DMX, the remix features fellow rappers and Roc-A-Fella Records artists Memphis Bleek and Beanie Sigel with production by Swizz Beatz. Its beat features a sample of "Theme of Thief" from the 1989 Sega game Golden Axe. Producer Swizz Beatz stated that the glissando sounds were made by him sliding his hand across a keyboard, originally as a joke. The remix version is featured on the soundtrack to the movie The Corruptor. The music video for the remix version of the track is intertwined with clips from The Corruptor as well. In the end of the track, Pain in Da Ass talks, recreating dialogue from the film Goodfellas.

The Dream Merchant Vol. 2 is the second compilation album from producer 9th Wonder, formerly of Little Brother. It was released on October 9, 2007 through Sixhole Records. American rapper/producer Danny! released Behind The Beats, Vol. 2 on October 23, 2007 under his Badenov Records/1911 Music imprint. It is the second promotional album in his Behind The Beats series, which is made up of snippets from twenty songs from Danny's catalogue followed by a snippet from its sample playing directly afterwards. Like Vol. 1 before it, the album cover for Behind The Beats, Vol. 2 depicts beets being prepared for consumption, presumably a play on the homonymous title. Both installments of Behind The Beats were mixed and compiled by Danny himself, and are both extremely hard to find due to a limited number of copies being pressed.

Quaadir Atkinson, professionally known as Neo Da Matrix, is an American hip hop producer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Stone Mountain High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He has worked with Swizz Beatz as an in-house producer for Ruff Ryders Entertainment and has produced for the likes of Cassidy. Neo Da Matrix is currently working on projects for Cassidy, Jadakiss, Swizz Beatz, Young Chris, Eve, Fabolous, Mýa, David Banner, Juelz Santana, Nina Sky, Tru Life, Range and more.

It is the third and allegedly final installment in Danny's famed Dream... instrumental series and, like its predecessors, bears Danny's anthroponym on its cover—an ominous all-black sleeve—rather than his stage name in an effort to distinguish himself from Daniel Swain the record producer and Danny!, his rapper alter ego. Originally intended for an April release, Dream, Extinguished's date was moved forward to January 29 to compensate for the unforeseen delay of And I Love H.E.R., his fifth studio album.

Everybody Looking is the ninth studio album by American rapper Gucci Mane. It was released on July 22, 2016, by GUWOP Enterprises, RBC Records and Atlantic Records. The album serves as Gucci's first studio release while out of prison since The Return of Mr. Zone 6 (2011). In 2012, he gained widespread recognition within the American hip hop community for producing Chief Keef's hits "I Don't Like", "Love Sosa", and "3Hunna". The music video for the song "Pistol on My Side (P.O.M.S.)", featuring Lil Wayne and keyboards by Alicia Keys, was released on September 14, 2018.
