Ruth Ellen Riley Hunter is a retired American professional basketball player, playing most recently for the Atlanta Dream in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Her Notre Dame team won the NCAA women's championship in 2001, and her Detroit Shock team won the WNBA championship in 2003 and 2006. Riley was the Most Valuable Player in the 2001 and 2003 championship series, becoming the first person to win the MVP awards in both the NCAA and the WNBA championships. She has also played on teams that won the National Women's Basketball League (NWBL) championship, the gold medal at the Olympic Games, and the 2010 EuroCup Championship. In 2019, Riley was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.

Nyla Milleson is the athletic director at Drury University and the former women's basketball head coach of Missouri State University and George Mason University. She was hired at Missouri State before the 2007–08 season and compiled a 105–87 overall record with the Lady Bears and a Missouri Valley Conference record of 59–49. She was relieved of coaching duties after the 2012–13 season and was hired by George Mason for the following season. She resigned at George Mason after the 2020–2021 season; her record with the Patriots was 98–140, including a mark of 40–86 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Her overall record as an NCAA Division I head coach is 203–227.

It has three vacant anchors left by Belk, J.C. Penney and Macy's. Sears once occupied the space currently taken by Burlington. The lower level is still empty.
Tears of Joy Theatre was a puppet theatre company located in the Portland metropolitan area of Oregon. It was founded in 1971 by Janet and Reg Bradley. The company toured two shows a year to schools in Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho, Montana and Nevada. It toured libraries and puts on mainstage shows in the Portland Metro area yearly. It ended operations August 25, 2019.
The Shoppes at Rivers Crossing is a super regional lifestyle center located in Macon, Georgia. It was developed by General Growth Properties as a response to the declining area around the older Macon Mall. Phase I opened March 19, 2008, while phase II opened shortly after. Belk and Dillard's opened their second Macon-area stores at River Crossing in 2008; however, Dillard's closed its old Macon Mall location later in 2008 and Belk closed its old Macon Mall location in 2012, leaving the new mall River Crossing stores as the only ones in Macon. The Shoppes at River Crossing has become known as "The New Mall" to Macon residents.

Dead Loretta was a Psychedelic rock band from Newark, Delaware. Formed in 2004, Dead Loretta got its start when songwriters Danny Boles and Marky Degz decided to expand their acoustic duo project "Bruce Lee's Grave" into a four-piece rock band. Heavily influenced by 1960s British Invasion and local pop heroes The Spinto Band, the original lineup consisted of Degz on lead vocals/guitar, Boles on lead guitar/vocals, Brian Lafferty on bass/harmonica, Andrew Kerstetter on drums, and Alex McGrellis on keyboards.
Jeannette Eyerly was a writer of young adult fiction for girls and a columnist. She was a pioneer in dealing with controversial topics in novels for young people. Among the themes that appeared in her books were teenage pregnancy, alcohol abuse, and drug use. She penned eighteen novels, starting with More Than a Summer Love in 1962, though she had published many short stories before that. Her 1977 novel, He's My Baby, Now was the basis for an ABC television movie. She also wrote two books of verse.
Brothers to Brutha is an American reality show on BET that was premiered on November 18, 2008. It follows five brothers who have a record deal on Island Def Jam Music Group as the R&B group Brutha. It was shown on Tuesday nights at 10:30pm. The first season consisted of six episodes. A second season has been confirmed by Brutha on YouTube. The group released their first album, Brutha, on December 23, 2008.
Insidiöus Törment, also referred to as IT or (misspelled) Insidious Torment, is a Danish heavy metal band with Soviet roots. The heavy metal umlaut in their band name, a usually purely decorative device, is actually pronounced. In heavy metal, a musical genre that is sometimes described as "proto-fascist", the group is also known for being one of the few overtly socialist bands, along with some other notable examples, such as Accept. Like Accept in the lyrics to "Balls to the Wall", Insidiöus Törment also call for the oppressed to rise and rebel in such songs as "Metal Balls", "The Enticer" and "Call to Arms".
Sans Souci Island is an island in the Cedar River in the city of Waterloo, Iowa. The island has a population of between 40 and 50 residents and is 100 acres (40 ha) in size, with most of the land area being woodland. The island was severely affected by the Iowa flood of 2008. By June 10, 2008, the island's entire population was forced to evacuate following the breach of a sandbag dike.
The Sons and Daughters of Oregon Pioneers (SDOP) is a nonprofit pioneer heritage association located in Portland, Oregon, United States. The SDOP was organized and incorporated on June 13, 1901 by the children of the elderly members of the Oregon Pioneer Association to memorialize the pioneers who arrived and settled in the early Oregon Country, Oregon Territory or Washington Territories prior to Oregon attaining statehood on February 14, 1859.
Michael Weeden is a Republican former member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, serving the Strafford 6th District from 2010 to 2012. He was at the time the second youngest member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. In 2010 he was the highest vote-getter in the Strafford County District 6 race. In 2011 he beat out incumbent Gina Cruikshank to become Dover's Ward 6 city councilor. In November 2013, he was defeated in his reelection bid by Jason Gagnon. On December 2, 2013, Weeden admittedly caused a motor vehicle accident that killed an 87-year-old man. According to police reports, Weeden's vehicle crossed the center lane while he was purportedly putting on his seatbelt. Former City Councilor Michael Weeden has been indicted on 3 felony charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault, allegedly involving a firearm, stemming from an incident in Dover involving his former girlfriend, according to law enforcement authorities, on May 18, 2014. On December 3, 2014 Weeden was found Not Guilty of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault. On Feb. 18th, 2015, Weeden was found guilty of Criminal Threatening, a Class A Felony. He faced up to 20 years in prison and a $4,000 fine. On July 8, Weeden was sentenced to 1 year in jail, with 3 years probation following, for the Criminal Threatening Felony conviction. Weeden was formerly a student at the University of New Hampshire.

Academy for Classical Education is a charter school in Macon, Georgia, that was originally part of the Bibb County School District. The school serves students in kindergarten to 12th grade. The student body is about 70 percent white, 16 percent African American and 8 percent Asian while Macon itself is about 70 percent African American and 25 percent white. It is highly ranked and in 2020 it was designated a National Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education.
