Benjamin Aaron Shive (born September 26, 1979) is an American Christian musician, keyboardist, arranger, and music producer, who mainly plays acoustic Christian pop and folk rock music. He has released two studio albums, The Ill-Tempered Klavier in 2008 and The Cymbal Crashing Clouds in 2011. He is a GMA Dove Award-winning music producer, for his production on Christmas Is Here from Brandon Heath.

Early and personal life

Shive was born on September 26, [1] 1979, in St. Louis, Missouri, [2] the son of a scientist. He has a brother, Joshua. [3] He eventually relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, where he attended Belmont University to study music, while he was there he produced his first album. [4] His second album produced was Behold the Lamb of God from Andrew Peterson. [4] He has played three-times at the Grand Ole Opry. [4] He is married to Beth Shive and together they have a daughter, Lucy. [5]

Music career

His music career started in 2008, with the studio album, The Ill-Tempered Klavier, that was released on June 17, 2008, where Christianity Today rates the album five stars, stating, it "can't be recommended more highly, a rewarding and introspective listen from start to finish." [6] He released, The Cymbal Crashing Clouds, on September 26, 2011, while Christianity Today rates the album four stars, writing, "His lyrics are wildly creative; attentive listeners will pick up some clear nods to the biblical prophets, lending gravity to a transporting collection of songs." [7] The song, "Listen!", was reviewed by The Sound Opinion, where they say, "There are diamonds out there, like this song, and diamond cutters, like Ben Shive." [8] He was awarded the GMA Dove Award for Christmas Album of the Year in 2014, for his production on the 2013 album Christmas Is Here by Brandon Heath. [9]

Home for Christmas is the fourth studio album and first Christmas album from Christian rock band BarlowGirl. It was released on September 23, 2008 by Fervent Records and was produced by Otto Price and Susan Riley for Twelve-18 Entertainment. "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year", "Carol of the Bells / Sing We Now of Christmas", "I'll Be Home for Christmas" and "Hallelujah " were released as singles. It is BarlowGirl's sole album to deviate from a pop rock sound, as the band opts for a traditional Christmas genre instead.

Gabriel Alberto Azucena who goes by the stage name GAWVI, formerly G-Styles, is a former American Christian hip hop artist and music producer, formerly for Reach Records. He was born on September 23, 1988 in the Bronx, New York. He has released three extended plays, five albums, and twenty-three singles including his songs; "In the Water" and "Late Nights." His career commenced in 2008, doing production work for Lecrae and Trip Lee, who continue to be his most consistent collaborators. In early 2016, he was officially signed to Reach Records. In early 2022, Reach Records ended their professional relationship with Gawvi due to allegations of him sending multiple women unsolicted sexually explicit photos of himself.

Antonio Neal Phelon is an American gospel musician and music producer, as well as a Christian R&B, Christian hip hop, urban gospel and black gospel recording artist and singer. He started his music career, in 1999, with an independently-made album on Grapetree Records under the name Amani, followed by a second album on label. His first studio album, Days of My Life, that was released by EMI Gospel. His only hip hop music album, Bible Megamix, was released Anshar Forever Records, in 2009. The only extended play, Welcome Home, a contemporary R&B work, was released by Madison Line, in 2014. He has won two GMA Dove Awards, one for his songwriting and another for his music production work.
