Bendito Boanova Mantato is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward or a fullback for the academy of Manchester United. [2]

Club career

Mantato joined Manchester United aged 9, in 2017. [3] Since then, he has progressed through various youth levels, and is currently part of the U18 team. [4]

International career

Of Angolan descent, Mantato is eligible to play for the Angola national team. However, born in England, he has chosen to represent the Three Lions at youth level, [5] making appearances for the U15, U16, and U17 teams. [6] He was first called up to the U15 team by coach Will Antwi in 2023.[ citation needed ]

Style of play

Often likened to Bukayo Saka for his playstyle, [7] Mantato has been described as a player who "has bundles of pace, plays with high intensity, and whose dribbling is a huge asset" [8] and as a "versatile player with impressive size for his age and a strong technical base". [9]
