Benishe Dillard-Roberts (born August 20, 1977) is an American female volleyball player. She was part of the United States women's national volleyball team.

Dillard-Roberts attended Kent-Meridian High School where she led the volleyball team to three consecutive 4A state volleyball tournament berths, taking second in 1993 and third in 1994. She continued playing volleyball at the collegiate level for Long Beach State. In 1998 she helped lead her team to a 36-0 record and a NCAA volleyball championship. Dillard-Roberts was named NCAA Final Four all-tournament team that year. [1]

After college, Dillard-Roberts played for the U.S. National Volleyball Team from 1999 to 2001 and was an alternate to the 2000 Olympic Games. [1] While on the U.S. team, she participated in the 2001 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Grand Champions Cup. [2]

Dillard-Roberts played professional volleyball for the St. Louis Quest and was named MVP of the league in 2002. She also played professionally in Italy, Puerto Rico, Switzerland and Spain. [1]

Volleyball is a popular sport in the United States with both male and female participants of all ages. Almost all high schools and colleges in the United States have female volleyball teams, and most regions of the country have developmental programs for girls of all ages as well. While many areas of the country are forming male teams and development programs, there are still fewer opportunities for young male athletes to play volleyball in the United States than for young female athletes. Men's volleyball is a fast-growing sport among high schools, with 36 states having male volleyball programs. Most men's seasons are in the spring while women's seasons take place primarily in the fall; however, there are a few men's teams such as in Wisconsin, Virginia, and New York who play in the fall as well.

Jeff Wayne Nygaard is an American former volleyball player. He was a member of the United States national indoor team in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. He was a middle blocker. He also played beach volleyball at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens with partner Dain Blanton.
