Benjamin Arif Dousa (born 5 December 1992) is a Swedish politician of the Moderate Party. He was the national chairman of the Moderate Youth League from 2016 to 2020. [1] He was re-elected to the position on 24 November 2018. [2] In 2024 he was appointed as Minister for Foreign Trade and International Development Cooperation in the Kristersson cabinet.
Dousa was born on 5 December 1992,in Rinkeby,Stockholm.
Dousa was deputy chairman of Rinkeby-Kista City District Board from 2014 to 2018 and has been chairman of the board since 2018.
Dousa served as national chairman of the Moderate School Youth from 2012 to 2013 and as national chairman of the Moderate Students from 2014 [3] of to 2016.
On 11 May 2020,Dousa announced that he would be retiring from the Moderate Youth League and from politics altogether,citing a desire to focus on his career. He formally resigned at the Youth League convention in November [4] He is now CEO of Företagarna,The Swedish Federation of Business Owners. [5]
In the 2024 Swedish cabinet reshuffle he was appointed Minister for Foreign Trade and International Development Cooperation in the cabinet of Ulf Kristersson. Shortly after his appointment he announced the government would cut foreign aid by 3 billion SEK. [6]

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson carried out the first cabinet reshuffle of his premiership on 10 September 2024,announcing it during his Declaration of Government speech at the Opening of the Riksdag. The cause for the reshuffle was that Minister for European Union Affairs and Nordic Cooperation Jessika Roswall had earlier in the year,following the 2024 European Parliament election,been nominated by the government to become Sweden's European commissioner for the 2024–2029 term,forcing her to leave her ministerial role. Later,on 4 September,Foreign Minister Tobias Billström announced his surprise resignation,creating another hole to fill in Kristersson's cabinet.
