Frank "Frankie" Fredericks is a former track and field athlete from Namibia. Running in the 100 metres and 200 metres, he won four silver medals at the Olympic Games, making him Namibia's only able-bodied Olympic medalist until Christine Mboma's silver medal at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. He also won gold medals at the World Championships, World Indoor Championships, All-Africa Games and Commonwealth Games. He is the world indoor record-holder for 200 metres, with a time of 19.92 seconds set in 1996.
Leonard ("Leo") Myles-Mills is a Ghanaian former athlete who specialized in the 100 metres. He ran a personal best of 9.98 seconds for the event in 1998, becoming the first Ghanaian to break the 10-second barrier. His best of 6.45 seconds for the 60 metres is an African record. Myles-Mills twice represented his country at the Summer Olympics and also at the Commonwealth Games. He was a two-time NCAA Men's 100 m dash champion while running for Brigham Young University.

He set a national record in the 4 x 400 metres relay at the 2000 Olympics, where the Nigerian team also won gold medals after the disqualification of the US.
Alfred Émile Moussambani is a Cameroonian sprinter who specializes in the 100 metres. He represented his native country in the 1996 and 2000 Olympics as a member of his nation's 4x100 metres relay team. Neither team advanced. The other members of the 1996 team were Benjamin Sirimou, Aimé-Issa Nthépé and Claude Toukéné-Guébogo. Members of the 2000 team were Serge Bengono, II, Joseph Batangdon, and Benjamin Sirimou.
Timothy David Benjamin is a former professional athlete from Wales. He specialised in the 400 metres, and in his teens was coached by Jock Anderson, in the same training group as Christian Malcolm. He then moved to live in Slough to be coached by Tony Lester; Marlon Devonish amongst others was one of his training partners.
Nobuharu Asahara is a former Japanese athlete who specialized in the 100 meters and long jump. He won the 100 m at the Japanese national championship on five occasions in 1996, 1997, 2000, 2001 and 2002, and he took part in the Olympics four times in 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008. He represented Japan six times at the World Championships in Athletics.
Frank Waota is a former track and field sprinter from Ivory Coast who specialized in the 200 metres. He represented his country at the Summer Olympics in 1992 and 1996, and ran at the World Championships in Athletics in 1993. He was a finalist in the 4 × 100 metres relay with the Ivory Coast men's relay team at the 1992 Summer Olympics and the 1993 World Championships in Athletics. He holds personal bests of 6.65 seconds for the 60 metres, 10.28 seconds for the 100 metres and 20.68 seconds for the 200 m.
Georgette Nkoma is a Cameroonian sprinter. At the 1996 African Championships she won gold medals in both 100 and 200 metres. She also competed at the World Championships in 1993, 1995 and 1997, as well as in 4 × 100 m relay at the 1996 Summer Olympics without reaching the final.

Known as the "Columbia Comet", Johnson was the United States champion at 100 yards in 1938, but injuries and the outbreak of the Second World War denied him a chance to compete in the Olympics.
Douglas "Doug" Turner is a British former track and field sprinter who competed mainly in the 200 metres. He was the silver medallist at the 1998 European Athletics Championships. His personal best for the 200 m was 20.43 seconds, set in 1996. He also represented Great Britain at the 1999 World Championships in Athletics and Wales at the Commonwealth Games in 1998 and 2002.
Arthur Gue Cissé is an Ivorian professional sprinter specializing in the sprints. He owns the Ivorian national records in the 60 m, 100 m, 150 m, and 200 m distances, including a sub-10 second time of 9.93 s in the 100 m. He has won several medals at the international level including a gold medal in the 2015 African Games 4 × 100 m relay and a silver medal in the 2018 African Championships 100 m.
