Benjamin Sokomba Dazhi (popularly known as Benny Dee; born February 15, 1988) is a Nigerian animator. [1] [2]
Dazhi was born in Minna, the capital of Niger State, North-central Nigeria. He is a graduate of both the National Open University of Nigeria and the Federal University of Technology, Minna, where he entered the entertainment business as a rapper prior to becoming an animator. [3] [4]
Dazhi gained recognition while working with Nigerian video director Akin Alabi as the head of animation on the movie The Legend of Oronpoto. [5]
In September 2021, he partnered with Cartoon Network as the creator and director of the new Cartoon Network Africa animated dance series, the CN Dance Challenge. [6] [7] [8] The show instructs children in different African-inspired dance routines using two animated dance instructors, Anwuli and Kingsley. [9]

Courage the Cowardly Dog is an American animated comedy horror television series created by John R. Dilworth for Cartoon Network and distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television. It was produced by Dilworth's animation studio, Stretch Films, and originally aired from 1999 to 2002. The title character is a dog who lives with an elderly couple in a farmhouse in the middle of "Nowhere". Cartoon Cartoons is a collective name used by Cartoon Network for their original animated television series originally aired between 1995 and 2003 and produced in majority by Hanna-Barbera and/or Cartoon Network Studios. Beginning with its inception into cable broadcasting on October 1, 1992, Cartoon Network had focused its programming on reruns of older animated series which it had acquired through its parent company's film library. The Cartoon Cartoons label originated with Fred Seibert's animation anthology series What a Cartoon!, an animation showcase series featuring pilots of original cartoon ideas submitted by independent animators. Dexter's Laboratory was the first such pilot to be greenlit by the network for a full series in 1996. After other pilots were successfully produced into their own series, including Cow and Chicken, Johnny Bravo, and The Powerpuff Girls, the collective Cartoon Cartoons were featured on the network's Friday night programming block, Cartoon Cartoon Fridays from 1999 to 2003. Not all CN original series created around this time were officially recognized as Cartoon Cartoons; Samurai Jack, for example, did not bear the moniker.
