Benoni Y. Ogwal-Abwang [1] was an Anglican bishop in Uganda: [2] he was Bishop of Northern Uganda from 1974 to [3] 1989.

Ogwal-Abwang was born in 1942. He was educated at the University of Western Ontario and Uganda Christian University. He was ordained in 1969. After a curacy in Gulu, he was Assistant Provincial Secretary of the Church of Uganda until his consecration as bishop. [4]

Henry Luke Orombi in Pakwach, North Western Uganda, is a Ugandan Anglican bishop. He was succeeded as Archbishop by Stanley Ntagali, who was consecrated in December 2012. Orombi served as Bishop of the Diocese of Kampala, which is the fixed episcopal see of the Archbishop, but unlike many other fixed metropolitical sees, the incumbent is not officially known as "Archbishop of Kampala", but bears the longer compound title "Archbishop of Uganda and Bishop of Kampala".

The Anglican dioceses of Burundi are the Anglican presence in Burundi; together they form the Province of the Anglican Church of Burundi. The Anglican churches of the area were under the authority of the Archbishop of Canterbury until 1965, when the Province of Uganda and Ruanda-Urundi was created; Burundi was then part of the Province of Rwanda, Burundi, and Boga-Zaire from 1980 until its own church province was erected in 1992.
