Murders in the Rue Morgue is a 1932 American horror film directed by Robert Florey, based on Edgar Allan Poe's 1841 short story "The Murders in the Rue Morgue". The plot is about Doctor Mirakle, a carnival sideshow entertainer and scientist who kidnaps Parisian women to mix their blood with that of his gorilla, Erik. As his experiments fail because of the quality of his victims' blood, Mirakle meets with Camille L'Espanye, and has her kidnapped and her mother murdered, leading to suspicion falling on Camille's fiance, Pierre Dupin, a medical student who has already become interested in the earlier murders.

Campbell has had great influence in her community as she is very politically involved in activism and social movements. Campbell is well known for being the author of Halfbreed, a memoir describing her own experiences as a Métis woman in society and the difficulties she has faced, which are commonly faced by many other women both within and outside of her community.
James Patrick Brady, better known as Jim Brady, was a Canadian Métis political leader and activist in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Along with Malcolm Norris, he is generally regarded as one of the two most influential Métis leaders of his era. Brady was a self-educated Marxist, Socialist, and Métis nationalist, as well as a member of the Communist Party of Canada. Brady was a strong advocate and voice for the Métis of Alberta and would go on to become an instrumental part in the formalization of today's contemporary Métis Settlements in Alberta. Brady is a member of the historic Metis Settlements "Famous Five" leadership.

Unearth is a 2020 American horror film directed and edited by John C. Lyons and Dorota Swies, from a screenplay by Lyons and Kelsey Goldberg. When one of the families leases their land to a natural gas company, the resulting fracking releases a force that threatens the lives of both families. The Curse of Audrey Earnshaw is a 2020 Canadian supernatural horror film written and directed by Thomas Robert Lee. It stars Catherine Walker, Jessica Reynolds, Jared Abrahamson and Sean McGinley. The film tells the story of a mother and daughter living in a village, who come under suspicion of witchcraft from the other villagers after a plague decimates their crops and livestock.

Sadako DX is a 2022 Japanese supernatural comedy horror film directed by Hisashi Kimura. The film is an installment in the Ring franchise, and a sequel to 1998's Spiral. Sadako DX stars Fuka Koshiba as a quick-witted high school student who has to unravel the cursed videotape after finding out her sister has seen it, discovering that the curse now claims the victim's life only 24 hours after viewing it. Sadako DX also stars Kazuma Kawamura and Mario Kuroba.
